Biography
Adam Keller is a doctorally prepared, board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over a decade of experience dedicated to improving patient quality of life. He earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, with clinical training at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and Womack Army Medical Center. He retired from the U.S. Army after 25+ years of service, including leadership roles as Chief of a multidisciplinary Department of Mental Health and Installation Director of Psychological Health. He has worked in inpatient, outpatient, academic, and administrative settings.
Adam fosters a supportive environment where patients feel heard, respected, and engaged in care, emphasizing open communication and collaborative goals. He uses a patient-centered approach integrating medication management, education, motivational interviewing, and supportive therapy. He treats depression, anxiety, ADHD, substance use disorders, and PTSD using a trauma-informed approach.
Initial evaluations include comprehensive assessment of history, concerns, and goals using shared decision-making to create individualized treatment plans. He prioritizes a collaborative environment that builds trust and encourages active participation. Follow-ups are scheduled regularly to monitor progress, adjust treatment, and support long-term wellness.
