Biography
I am a compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who believes effective mental health care begins with listening, understanding, compassion, and respect. I strive to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where patients feel heard, respected, and comfortable discussing their concerns. I value each person’s strengths, experiences, concerns, and treatment goals.
I encourage open and honest communication and want patients to feel comfortable sharing their thoughts, feelings, concerns, and questions. I provide individualized, patient-centered care because there is no single approach to mental health treatment. I believe treatment works best when we work together, and I involve patients in treatment decisions while establishing realistic and measurable goals.
Our first session begins with getting to know you, including your current concerns, symptoms, personal and medical history, medications, lifestyle, and treatment goals. We discuss how symptoms affect daily life and develop a personalized plan that may include medication management, psychotherapy or supportive therapy, behavioral strategies, lifestyle recommendations, or a combination. At follow-ups, we evaluate progress, monitor medications when applicable, discuss concerns, and adjust treatment as needed.
