Biography
Gail R. Boyer, MS, RN, NP-C, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner with more than 18 years of nursing experience. She earned her nursing degrees from Elms College, the University of Massachusetts Medical School, and Hunter College. She provides psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supportive psychotherapy for adolescents and adults, treating depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, OCD, and substance use disorders.
Gail creates a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where patients feel heard, respected, and involved in every treatment decision. She takes time to understand each person's unique needs and explains diagnoses, medications, and treatment options in clear language. She believes care should be individualized, collaborative, and grounded in trust, with every patient leaving appointments feeling informed and hopeful.
Gail begins with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation to understand each patient's history, symptoms, strengths, and goals. Together, they develop an individualized treatment plan that may include medication management, supportive psychotherapy, education, and care coordination. She monitors progress using evidence-based and measurement-based approaches, adjusting treatment as needed to improve symptoms, daily functioning, and overall quality of life.
