Biography
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Psychiatric Mental Health from Rutgers University and a BSN from Thomas Jefferson University. I have practiced in inpatient and outpatient settings, including hospital care, emergency consultations, and telepsychiatry. As a former U.S. Air Force Captain and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I have cared for active-duty service members and veterans. I also hold TMS certification and a buprenorphine waiver.
I take a structured, collaborative approach grounded in evidence-based care, clear communication, and shared decision-making. I work with patients to understand their goals and review treatment options, including risks and benefits. When appropriate, I incorporate supportive techniques and motivational interviewing alongside medication management.
I begin with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation covering your history, medications, safety, symptoms, and treatment goals. Together, we develop an individualized plan that may include medication, education, supportive interventions, and coordination with other providers. Follow-up visits focus on progress, side effects, adherence, functioning, and adjusting treatment as needed.
