Biography
Sherry Campbell is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) who earned a Master’s degree in Community Health Addictions Nursing from the University of Maryland and a Post-Master’s Certificate from Shenandoah University. She is dual board certified as a Clinical Specialist/Psychotherapist and Lifespan Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Sherry has experience across outpatient, inpatient, and educational settings, and holds certifications as an eating disorders specialist and master psychopharmacologist. She is highly experienced in treating ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar spectrum disorders, OCD, and eating disorders.
Sherry takes a holistic approach to mental health, recognizing the connection between mind, body, and spirit. She creates a warm, supportive space where patients feel heard and respected. She emphasizes education and understanding, helping patients feel empowered in their care. Sherry values open communication and works collaboratively with patients to set clear goals and develop individualized treatment plans they feel comfortable with.
Sherry begins with a thorough initial session to understand each patient’s history, concerns, and goals. She uses both direct and open-ended questions to fully assess symptoms. Together with the patient, she develops a personalized treatment plan tailored to their unique needs and concerns.
