Biography
Megan Heise is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with experience in community mental health, walk-in clinics, and private practice. She has leadership experience expanding mental health services with a focus on patient-centered care. Her clinical interests include ADHD, anxiety, OCD, autism spectrum disorders, and women’s mental health.
Megan uses a collaborative, nonjudgmental, patient-centered approach with open communication and shared decision-making. She recognizes each patient's experience is unique and understands symptoms within a biopsychosocial context. She is especially passionate about supporting those who have felt misunderstood or frustrated in prior care and focuses on understanding the “why” behind symptoms and providing practical strategies.
Megan begins with comprehensive evaluations of symptoms, history, strengths, and goals. She explores biological, psychological, social, lifestyle, and environmental factors to identify patterns and barriers. She develops individualized treatment plans incorporating medication management, therapy, and lifestyle interventions. Progress is regularly reassessed to refine care and support long-term improvement.
