Dr. James Bolton, MD
I will do my best to thoroughly and carefully work with my patients to determine the most accurate psychiatric diagnosis or diagnoses possible. While working together, I may ask sensitive questions, but will do so in a nonjudgmental way with the only goal of helping my patients. I also work in psychotherapy techniques during our sessions. I take a holistic approach when working with patients, one that focuses on multiple aspects of their lives. I pride myself on creating a safe and nonjudgmental space where the focus is simply on helping patients. I strive to work collaboratively with my patients to ensure that we are both on the same page when it comes to their mental healthcare.

I believe that each individual's background plays a significant role in their mental health, and that understanding a patient's personal story is critical to their healing journey. I believe in a respectful, collaborative relationship built on trust and open communication. I begin care with a thorough evaluation, exploring developmental history, impactful life events, and emotional patterns. From there, I develop a comprehensive treatment plan that may include medications, wellness strategies, and therapist collaboration. I consider each patient's strengths and challenges to guide care that promotes long-term recovery and personal growth.
