Dr. Monica Badillo, MD
I provide medication management while incorporating psychoeducation, supportive, and psychodynamic psychotherapies. Generally, I employ 30-minute follow-up sessions, and I may request a psychotherapist to participate in treatment. I listen and build rapport with patients and families, while utilizing a trauma-informed, patient-centered, comprehensive, and collaborative approach. My primary focus is treating children, adolescents, and young-early adults for depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, ADHD, trauma-related disorders, disruptive behavior disorders, and other psychiatric conditions. I am bilingual and speak Spanish and English to deliver quality care for patients and parents.
I am double board-certified in child and adolescent psychiatry and adult psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and I received additional training and certification in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at the New York Medical College Psychoanalytic Institute. I completed my undergraduate degree at Fordham University in New York, and subsequently received my medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica. I then completed general psychiatry residency and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, BronxCare Health System, where I excelled in my program and was awarded honors as Chief Fellow in achievement and professionalism. After completing training, I continued to work at the institution as an attending psychiatrist in the Child and Adult Outpatient Services, Pediatric Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP), and Pediatric Consultation Liaison services. I have held leadership roles and instructed medical students, fellows, and resident physicians. I have treated patients of all age ranges and diverse backgrounds in community mental health settings.

Dr. Namrata Shah, MD
I emphasize the importance of a strong doctor-patient therapeutic alliance and a patient-centered approach. To provide the best care, I believe in compassion, open communication, and collaboration. I am particularly interested in issues related to women's mental health, including perinatal mental health issues.
I am a board-certified adult psychiatrist. I completed my undergraduate training at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and earned my medical degree at the American University of Antigua. I completed my psychiatry residency at Creedmoor Psychiatric Center with training at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. In addition to experience providing inpatient and outpatient care, I have worked with a wide variety of patient populations. The conditions I treat include depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, panic disorder, OCD, and ADHD.

Dr. Natalia Roque, MD
I believe in building a strong therapeutic alliance grounded in empathy, respect, and curiosity. I value collaboration and open communication, ensuring that patients feel like active partners in their care. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where individuals feel understood as whole people, not defined solely by their symptoms. I also prioritize incorporating cultural background and social determinants of health, including financial stressors and systemic barriers, into treatment planning.
In my work, I begin by taking time to understand each patient's unique story, experiences, and goals. I approach care through a trauma-informed lens and with cultural sensitivity to ensure treatment feels safe, respectful, and relevant. My process integrates evidence-based approaches, including psychodynamic therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), while tailoring care plans to meet both clinical needs and patient preferences. I regularly check in on progress, invite feedback, and adjust treatment collaboratively to support an ongoing, responsive therapeutic process.
I received my BA in Biology from the University of Chicago and my medical degree from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. I returned to the University of Chicago to complete my psychiatry residency, where I served as Chief Resident of the outpatient psychiatry clinics and was a member of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. I have experience treating patients across inpatient, outpatient, and consultation-liaison psychiatry settings, with additional training in treatment-resistant depression, trauma, neuropsychiatry, ECT, ketamine, geriatric psychiatry, student counseling, LGBTQ+ mental health, women's mental health, and culturally sensitive care.

Dr. Natalie Cummings, MD
I primarily focus on medication management and supportive psychotherapy, but have extensive training in utilizing various therapy modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, reminiscence therapy, and psychodynamic psychotherapy. When appropriate, I will refer for more extensive psychotherapy and/or collaborate with your established psychotherapist for comprehensive care. I strongly believe that addressing psychosocial and interpersonal factors (including relationship health, economic stressors, social isolation and loneliness) is as essential as pharmacologic management in treating mental health conditions. I have particular experience and interest in treating older adults and those suffering from memory disorders, but provide treatment for a variety of psychiatric conditions including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorders, trauma-related disorders, and substance use disorders.
I am a board-certified adult psychiatrist and board-eligible geriatric psychiatrist. I obtained my medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed my residency training in psychiatry at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and Jackson Memorial Hospital. I then completed my geriatric psychiatry fellowship at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Beth Israel. During my fellowship, I participated in Mount Sinai's Visiting Doctors Program, providing patient-centered and compassionate care to homebound elder adults in New York City. I also received training at Coler Rehabilitation and Nursing Care Center on Roosevelt Island and presented at the American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry annual meeting. During my training, I gained extensive experience providing psychiatric care to various patient populations in multiple settings, including the outpatient clinic, inpatient unit, and emergency department.
Following my training, I worked at New York Presbyterian's Gracie Square Hospital, serving first as float psychiatrist across every inpatient psychiatric unit (including the young adult/college student program, Orthodox Jewish program, psychotic disorders program, crisis-stabilization program, dual focus program, and Asian Psychiatry program), before transitioning to an established psychiatric attending for the older adult program. During my time at Gracie Square Hospital, I received the Physician of the Year Award and served as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medicine. I worked closely alongside staff psychologists, social workers, and nurses to provide multidisciplinary, collaborative care to patients suffering from a variety of mental health conditions. Nathan Sklar, MD
I earned my MD from Western Michigan University and completed my residency at the Medical College of Georgia. I have experience in diverse outpatient and inpatient psychiatry roles, including general outpatient psychiatry, hospital and emergency room consults, inpatient facilities, addiction psychiatry, and interventional psychiatry. In my free time, I enjoy exploring new restaurants with my wife, reading, weight lifting, playing video games with friends, and spending time with my cat, Gus.
I enjoy getting to know patients as people, not just as symptoms to treat. I listen to patients tell their stories and support them through life events. I encourage patients to take an active role in their mental health and treatment course.
I begin with a thorough history of present concerns, the patient’s life as a whole, and future goals. In follow-up sessions, I work with patients through both talk therapy and medications to reach their personal goals. I also coordinate care with other physicians and laboratories to get a full picture of the patient’s health.
