Jamie Ward, LPC
Jamie specializes in toxic and abusive relationships. That could be with parents, a romantic partner, or friendships. She's trained in quite a few therapies (cognitive behavioral therapy or CBT is one of them) but the most important thing is finding something that works for you. You’re an individual, so counseling will be tailored to what your specific needs are-and maybe you don't know what you want/need right now because you've never been to counseling! That's fine, too! The relationship between counselor and individual is key. It’s so important to have a trusting bond and Jamie will spend time getting to know you, as well as help. Everyone has the power to promote change within themselves but sometimes we all need a little guidance.
Jamie offers a nonjudgmental place where you can collaborate on goals, share, and learn new skills and techniques. Jamie specializes in OCD, anxiety, and toxic relationships.
The process of therapy can look different for everyone. However, something to expect are goal setting, collaboration, CBT techniques, and other evidence-based practices Each week, expect to talk about how your week is going and then identifying a goal for that session.
