Dr. Walter Piddoubny is a double boarded psychiatrist in Adult Psychiatry and Consultation Liaison Psychiatry. He completed his undergraduate degree at Stony Brook University followed by his medical degree at SUNY Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. He completed his Psychiatry Residency at Stony Brook University Hospital followed by his fellowship in Consultation Liaison Psychiatry at Yale New Haven Hospital. Dr. Piddoubny has held academic appointment at Stony Brook University Hospital practicing as a consultant psychiatrist as well as Associate Program Director of the Psychiatry Residency Program. He has been actively involved in teaching and was awarded "Teacher of the Year" in 2018 by the psychiatry residents. Dr. Piddoubny's practice focuses on medication management. Typically, he offers this in conjunction with supportive or emotionally focused therapy during 30-minute follow-up visits. Occasionally, Dr. Piddoubny may believe that additional therapy is warranted and ask that you bring a therapist into your care team in order to provide the best possible outcome.‍

Iris Guerrero Urena, MD

Dr. Iris Guerrero Urena is double board-certified in psychiatry and consultation-liaison psychiatry. She received her medical degree from Universidad Iberoamericana in the Dominican Republic and went on to complete psychiatric residency at Lincoln Hospital in New York City. Dr. Guerrero then completed a consultation liaison fellowship at Morningside and West Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, further acquiring proficiency in caring for patients with complex medical and psychiatric comorbidities. After completing training, Dr. Guerrero worked in an acute inpatient unit and as a psychiatric consultant for patients admitted to medical units in Oregon. Dr. Guerrero Urena focuses on medication management while also implementing elements of supportive, dialectical behavioral, and cognitive behavioral therapy within each session to fully address individual needs. At times, Dr. Guerrero Urena may recommend a therapist for additional therapy. Lisa Mazzotti is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado, and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Addiction Professional in Florida. She earned her bachelor’s in Psychology and a master’s in Human Development Counseling from the University of Illinois. With more than 30 years of clinical experience, she has worked with adolescents, adults, and older adults in individual, couple, family, and group settings. Lisa also served as an adjunct professor, teaching psychology and sociology courses for over a decade in high schools, colleges, and correctional facilities. Her extensive background includes treating addictions, trauma, mood and anxiety disorders, OCD, ADHD, self-harm, and eating disorders.
