Tania is a Staff Psychotherapist at Talkiatry. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and holds active licenses in Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, and Washington D.C. Before joining Talkiatry, Tania was a Behavioral Health Program Director at an integrated care medical practice. She’s been a clinical supervisor to other Social Workers while providing therapy to a wide variety of clients from different backgrounds and ages. Tania has worked with the Veteran population and has a heart for this community as well as active duty military and their families.
Tania completed her undergraduate and graduate education at the University of South Florida (USF) in Tampa, FL. Tania has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology, a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW), and Master of Social Work (MSW). Tania has 13 years of post-graduate experience in the Social Work and Mental Health field. Her treatment modality styles are primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Therapy. She also has training in Trauma-Focused CBT.
Tania specializes in treating a wide range of diagnostic and psychosocial concerns, including the following: depression, anxiety, traumatic stress, work related stress, spirituality, racial issues, and relationship/family stress. She is very passionate about assisting clients enhance self-esteem and healthy boundaries to promote self-care. Through her years of experience as a Clinical Social Worker, Tania has endorsed believing people need to be honored as experts in their own lives and should be free to share their life experiences without judgment or minimization.
