Biography

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, born and raised in Pennsylvania. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Penn State University in 2019 and my graduate degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Wilkes University in 2022. I take a practical, collaborative approach to care, believing that effective mental health care begins with understanding the individual, not simply treating a diagnosis.

I believe medication can be an important part of treatment, but it is rarely the only tool. Depending on your needs, treatment may also include therapy, coping skills, healthy routines, supportive relationships, and other resources. My clinical experience in inpatient mental health care, substance use treatment, and a range of psychiatric conditions has reinforced the importance of individualized, evidence-based care. I value straightforward communication and shared decision-making.

I begin by learning about your symptoms, circumstances, concerns, and goals so we can develop a realistic treatment plan together. I encourage you to ask questions and take an active role in your care, and we adjust our approach as your needs and goals evolve.

I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with over 20 years of nursing experience in behavioral health, hospice, and primary care mental health integration. I earned my nursing degree from St. Joseph's School of Nursing in Nashua, NH, in 2003, followed by my ASN in 2009. I use a biopsychosocial approach that considers your mental, physical, social, and environmental needs. I am a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with more than 13 years of psychiatric nursing experience and medication management. I help adults navigate depression, anxiety, ADHD, panic disorders, bipolar disorder, insomnia, and other mental health concerns. I believe in thoughtful, evidence-based care that takes time to understand each patient as an individual.

I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental, and supportive setting where patients feel comfortable being open and honest. I believe effective treatment starts with listening to each patient’s concerns, goals, history, and circumstances rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. I value open communication, collaboration, and respect, with realistic, individualized goals that support mental health and quality of life.

I begin with a comprehensive evaluation of current concerns, psychiatric and medical history, medications, lifestyle, and goals. I use this information to develop an individualized plan based on each patient’s needs, preferences, and clinical presentation. When medication is appropriate, I discuss benefits, risks, side effects, and alternatives so patients can make informed decisions. Follow-ups focus on progress, effectiveness, tolerability, new concerns, and adjustments when clinically appropriate.

Together, we'll develop personalized goals that support your mental health and overall well-being.

I begin by learning about your concerns, symptoms, history, goals, and expectations.
