Lisa Hagberg, MD

Dr. Lisa Hagberg is a board-certified psychiatrist with 20 years of experience treating patients with a wide range of diagnoses, in particular, depression, anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, and PTSD.

Dr. Hagberg brings a holistic approach to her practice exploring mental health in a multidimensional way, addressing the causes, not just the symptoms of one's condition. She incorporates supportive and insight-oriented psychotherapy into patient care, although at times she may recommend patients add an individual therapist to the treatment team.

Dr. Hagberg grew up in Wisconsin and received her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin Medical School. She completed her training in psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and received additional training in Lacanian psychoanalysis at L'École Freudian du Québec. Her recent work includes positions of medical director of a depression and anxiety disorders unit at McLean Hospital of Harvard Medical School and Chief of Psychiatric Assessment Services at Butler Hospital of Brown Medical School.
