I am a psychiatrist with experience practicing in both inpatient and outpatient settings across academic, for-profit, and not-for-profit healthcare systems, serving a diverse patient population. I earned my medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed my psychiatry residency and fellowship in geriatric psychiatry at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

I went on to complete an Addiction Psychiatry fellowship at Oregon Health and Science University. During training, I was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society, reflecting my commitment to compassionate care. I am board-certified in general psychiatry and have experience working in outpatient, residential, and inpatient settings.

I am a board-certified psychiatrist with over 26 years of experience treating adults in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I earned my medical degree from Oregon Health Sciences University and completed my residency at the University of Texas at San Antonio. I am certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

I completed my medical degree and adult psychiatry residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, followed by fellowship training in child and adolescent psychiatry at Harvard Medical School's Cambridge Hospital. I am double board-certified in general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry. My career has included roles in inpatient and outpatient care, academic settings, consulting, and telepsychiatry across multiple states.

I combine both psychotherapy and medication treatment to provide holistic care that addresses not only your mental health but also the parts of your life that surround and are deeply intertwined with your mental health. When more intensive psychotherapy is warranted, I collaborate with an experienced psychotherapist to serve you better. With my experience in internal medicine, I am also comfortable navigating complex medical issues that may interact with your mental health.

I am board-certified in both adult psychiatry and internal medicine. I am a graduate of St. George's University School of Medicine and completed a combined Psychiatry & Internal Medicine residency training program at East Carolina University. Following residency, I completed a fellowship in Clinical Informatics at Oregon Health & Science University, learning how to use modern digital technologies and patient data to improve patient care. Since graduation from residency, I also gained specialized experience in treating veterans with terminal illness, specifically Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (aka Lou Gehrig's Disease), at the VA Medical Center in Portland, OR.

My academic activities include a presentation I have given multiple times on Illness Identity, teaching other clinicians how having an illness can change how we perceive our place in the world and how to help patients manage their relationship with illness.

I focus on medication management while also implementing elements of supportive, dialectical behavioral, and cognitive behavioral therapy within each session to fully address individual needs. At times, I may recommend a therapist for additional therapy. I am experienced in treating a wide range of psychiatric conditions including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, PTSD, and OCD.

I am double board-certified in psychiatry and consultation-liaison psychiatry. I received my medical degree from Universidad Iberoamericana in the Dominican Republic and completed my psychiatric residency at Lincoln Hospital in New York City. I then completed a consultation liaison fellowship at Morningside and West Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, further acquiring proficiency in caring for patients with complex medical and psychiatric comorbidities. After completing training, I worked in an acute inpatient unit and as a psychiatric consultant for patients admitted to medical units in Oregon.

Dr. Stephanie Negrey is a board certified psychiatrist. She completed her undergraduate degree in Biology and History at Fordham University in the Bronx and then attended medical school at the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University. She completed her residency at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio as a member of the United States Air Force. Dr. Negrey served as an active duty psychiatrist; her duties included medical director of the mental health clinic at a special operations base as well as a program manager for the Air Force substance use program.

Dr. Negrey has experience treating a wide range of ages and diagnoses, with particular emphasis on personality disorders, depression, anxiety, and post traumatic stress disorder. She integrates supportive and psychodynamic therapies into her medication management appointments with a goal of achieving improvement through a holistic approach. Dr. Negrey will work with patients to reach their goals for their mental health care while also providing a compassionate and collaborative environment.

My practice centers around treating the whole patient: mind, body, and spirit. I believe the judicious use of psychiatric medications, coupled with psychotherapy and alternative treatments such as meditation and yoga, can bring about transformative changes in the lives of those suffering from depression, anxiety, and other mental conditions and life issues. In addition to general adult psychiatry, I received extensive training in one of the nation's largest women's mood disorder programs at The University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and enjoy treating peripartum and postpartum mood and anxiety disorders. I am also well trained in addiction medicine and received additional training in buprenorphine use for opioid addiction.

I am a board-certified adult psychiatrist who has been in practice for over 10 years. I graduated with Honors in Psychology from The University of Florida, received my medical degree from The University of South Alabama School of Medicine, completed a clinical postdoctoral research fellowship at Boston University School of Medicine, and completed my Psychiatry residency training at The University of North Carolina. I am currently obtaining my MBA. After residency, I worked as a psychiatric hospitalist at Trident Medical Center in Charleston and have also worked in private practice. Most recently I served as Chief Medical Officer for an 80-bed psychiatric hospital, Coral Shores Behavioral Hospital in Stuart, FL. I have worked in inpatient units, private practice, and community mental health, as well as served as Chief Medical Officer of a large psychiatric hospital. In 2018 I was awarded the Charleston Choice Award for Best Psychiatrist in Charleston, South Carolina. I currently reside in South Florida.

My philosophy includes a healing-oriented approach that considers the whole person, including all lifestyle aspects. I aim to provide collaborative and comprehensive care, which may include medication management, lifestyle interventions, stress reduction techniques, and other integrative approaches. I employ pharmacotherapy along with supportive therapy and integrative approaches, and I believe that building a strong therapeutic relationship where the patient feels empowered is the key to healing.

I am double Board Certified in Psychiatry and Lifestyle Medicine. I completed my psychiatry residency training at the University of Maryland/Sheppard Pratt, where I served as the chief resident. I am currently working on completing my Ph.D. in Integrative Medicine. I have more than five years of experience treating patients with anxiety, depression, PTSD, Bipolar, OCD, ADHD, and other mental health issues, and I have practiced in various settings over my career, including working for the Department of Defense, private practice, and community mental health. I am fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish.
