I earned my medical degree from Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed my residency at HCA's The Medical Center of Aurora North. With a diverse clinical background, I have honed my expertise across various settings including inpatient, outpatient, PHP/IOP, and specialized areas such as geriatrics, eating disorders, addiction, and child and adolescent psychiatry. I am also proficient in innovative treatments like Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS).

Outside of my professional commitments, I am an advocate for personal health and wellness. I enjoy enhancing my fitness and nutrition, engaging with enlightening podcasts, and exploring the great outdoors.

My approach to medication management is that it is one tool to be used in the broader context of a multi-modal evidence-based treatment approach that draws upon psychotherapy, mindfulness skills, Buddhist psychology, psychedelic (AKA "mind manifesting") studies, yoga philosophy, and other integrative practices. I understand that healing is an individualized process that cannot unfold without a safe space, and I am dedicated to holding an approachable, empathic space where you can feel empowered to write the next chapter of your life. I am well versed in treating the full spectrum of mental illness. Having worked on multidisciplinary teams in acute inpatient psychiatric hospital settings, psychiatric emergency rooms, and mental health urgent cares for the better part of 10 years, I am comfortable helping with not just mild to moderate illness, but also the most severe cases of mental illness. I am especially motivated to work with you to maintain stability, avoid hospitalization, and more broadly, to achieve wellness.

I completed Adult Psychiatry Residency Training at Los Angeles County, University of Southern California, where I focused two years of training in conducting Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy. I received my Bachelor of Science undergraduate degree in 3 years with Phi Beta Kappa honors at the University of Miami, Florida. In medical school at Stony Brook School of Medicine in New York, I was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society while earning my Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. I have held academic appointments at University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine, College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific Western University of Health Sciences, and Ventura Community Memorial Health System Psychiatric Residency Training Program.

I am an adult psychiatrist who holds board certification with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. I focus on medication management combined with supportive therapy during initial and follow-up visits. I practice whole-person medicine, caring for the wellness of your mind, body, and spirit and helping you enjoy your relationships with those around you.

I received my medical degree from the University of Nevada School of Medicine in Reno, NV, before moving to southern California to complete my residency at Loma Linda University. After completing training, I began working with the Southern California Permanente Medical Group in Riverside, CA, where I treated a variety of psychiatric disorders in an outpatient setting. In March of 2020, as the pandemic changed life and medicine forever, I adopted a strictly telepsychiatry role at my clinic. I have also held a staff psychiatrist position as an adult inpatient psychiatrist in Tennessee. I treat a wide variety of psychiatric disorders within the adult demographic.

My practice is centered on evidence-based medication management, expertly tailored to each unique individual, informed by the best available research, and using a multidisciplinary approach where appropriate to achieve the best possible outcome. I offer motivational interviewing and supportive psychotherapy, and can collaborate with a therapist on your care team when more specialized treatment is needed on your journey to wellness.

Before joining Talkiatry, I had the honor of working for the Department of Veterans Affairs in both outpatient and residential settings, where I gained experience in improving quality of life for veterans with a wide range of troublesome to downright disabling psychiatric conditions, including severe anxiety and mood disorders, psychosis, obsessive-compulsive disorder, developmental disorders including autism spectrum and attention-deficit disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder. These disorders have almost certainly been with us for all of recorded human history, but within the last few generations, our understanding of and ability to treat these conditions has grown by leaps and bounds.

I am a board certified general psychiatrist who trained at the University of South Florida, earning my Bachelor of Science in Biology, and completing medical school and residency at the Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa, Florida. During my time in training and at the VA, my passion for teaching, both medical trainees and patients, found a productive outlet. I look forward to bringing that experience forward to serve the broader population in these unprecedented times.

I am a board-certified psychiatrist with experience caring for diverse patient populations presenting with an array of diagnoses. I have completed internships in pediatric neuropsychology and worked as a behavior therapist, delivering Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, which has enriched my understanding of development and neurocognitive functioning. Additionally, I actively participate in research and am engaged in educational initiatives for other healthcare providers.

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in 2011 and completed my medical degree at the University of Nebraska College of Medicine in 2017. I completed my residency in psychiatry at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, Virginia, in 2021, where I was selected as Chief Resident. I have extensive experience in both outpatient and deployed settings, having completed two operational tours with the U.S. Navy. During these tours, I served in Embedded Mental Health Clinics and aboard deployed ships, working directly with Sailors.

I am passionate about integrative medicine, which combines evidence-based alternative therapies with conventional treatments to optimize outcomes. My approach focuses on promoting overall wellness, keeping both the body and mind in harmony. During the diagnostic evaluation, I will review your medical history and past treatments to develop a comprehensive, personalized treatment plan that prioritizes your overall wellness. I earned my medical degree from Cairo University, where I also completed my neurology residency at Cairo University Hospitals. Following this, I pursued psychiatric training at New York Medical College at St. Vincent's Hospitals, where I was appointed Chief Resident and recognized as Resident of the Year. I further specialized with a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at UMDNJ/Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

My career includes multiple leadership roles, notably serving as Chief of the Child and Adolescent Partial Hospital Programs (PHP) at Rutgers University in Newark, NJ, where I provided direct care to young patients. I have also held Medical Director positions across various clinical settings, including child and adolescent inpatient units, outpatient programs, and intensive outpatient services for both adolescents and adults with mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders. As an active educator, I have served as a teaching faculty member, delivering lectures and providing supervision and evaluations for medical residents and child and adolescent psychiatry fellows, and I have served as a principal investigator on multiple studies. Throughout my career in leadership and teaching, I maintained an integrative private practice in New Jersey, serving residents of the NJ and NY metropolitan areas before relocating to North Carolina.

I received my BA in Biology from the University of Chicago and my medical degree from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. I returned to the University of Chicago to complete my psychiatry residency, where I served as Chief Resident of the outpatient psychiatry clinics and was a member of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. I have experience treating patients across inpatient, outpatient, and consultation-liaison psychiatry settings, with additional training in treatment-resistant depression, trauma, neuropsychiatry, ECT, ketamine, geriatric psychiatry, student counseling, LGBTQ+ mental health, women's mental health, and culturally sensitive care.

My clinical focus has been in treating children, adolescents, and young adults with depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress disorder, and ADHD. I have been providing psychiatric services in the community mental health setting for 8 years.

I am a board-eligible adult psychiatrist who provides psychiatric care in both English and Spanish. I earned my MD from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine and completed my psychiatry residency at Larkin Community Hospital, where I served as Chief Resident during my third and fourth years. My clinical interests include depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, ADHD, and neurodiversity.

She earned her medical degree from Nova Southeastern University KPCOM and completed her psychiatry residency at Larkin Community Hospital in Miami, Florida, where she also served as Chief Resident. Her clinical background includes treating mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, trauma-related conditions, and psychosis across diverse patient populations.
