Biography
I received my medical degree from St. George’s University and completed my general Psychiatry Residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University, where I served as Chief Resident. I then completed a Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry/Psycho-Oncology Fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, caring for cancer patients and helping them navigate psychological distress related to their diagnosis.
I believe human connection and empathy are foundational to healing. I prioritize making my patients feel heard and understood and strive to meet each person where they are. I consider each patient’s unique history, goals, and psychological, physical, cultural, and spiritual background when providing care.
In addition to medication management, I incorporate lifestyle modifications, stress management, and focused psychotherapy into treatment. When appropriate, I may recommend working with a psychotherapist and, with your consent, communicate collaboratively with that provider to support coordinated care.
