Dr. Michael Kim, DO
I am an accomplished attending psychiatrist dedicated to providing comprehensive mental health care. I am passionate about employing supportive and psychodynamic therapy approaches, tailoring treatment plans to meet each patient's unique needs. Embracing a holistic approach to psychiatry, I integrate medication management with a focus on nutrition, diet, and lifestyle factors to foster overall well-being, reflecting my belief in treating the whole person and ensuring optimal mental and physical health for each individual I serve.
I earned my medical degree from Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed my residency at HCA's The Medical Center of Aurora North. Outside of my professional commitments, I am an advocate for personal health and wellness. I enjoy enhancing my fitness and nutrition, engaging with enlightening podcasts, and exploring the great outdoors.

Dr. Michael Locher, MD
My approach to medication management is that it is one tool to be used in the broader context of a multi-modal evidence-based treatment approach that draws upon psychotherapy, mindfulness skills, Buddhist psychology, psychedelic (AKA "mind manifesting") studies, yoga philosophy, and other integrative practices. I understand that healing is an individualized process that cannot unfold without a safe space, and I am dedicated to holding an approachable, empathic space where you can feel empowered to write the next chapter of your life. I have an interest in working with immigrants and LGBTQ+ communities.
I am well versed in treating the full spectrum of mental illness. Having worked on multidisciplinary teams in acute inpatient psychiatric hospital settings, psychiatric emergency rooms, and mental health urgent cares for the better part of 10 years, I am comfortable helping with not just mild to moderate illness, but also the most severe cases of mental illness. I am especially motivated to work with you to maintain stability, avoid hospitalization, and more broadly, to achieve wellness.
I completed Adult Psychiatry Residency Training at Los Angeles County, University of Southern California, where I focused two years of training in conducting Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy. Dr. Michael Manasterski, MD
My practice is centered on evidence-based medication management, expertly tailored to each unique individual, informed by the best available research, and using a multidisciplinary approach where appropriate to achieve the best possible outcome. I offer motivational interviewing and supportive psychotherapy, and can collaborate with a therapist on your care team when more specialized treatment is needed on your journey to wellness.
Before joining Talkiatry, I had the honor of working for the Department of Veterans Affairs in both outpatient and residential settings, where I gained experience in improving quality of life for veterans with a wide range of troublesome to downright disabling psychiatric conditions, including severe anxiety and mood disorders, psychosis, obsessive-compulsive disorder, developmental disorders including autism spectrum and attention-deficit disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder. These disorders have almost certainly been with us for all of recorded human history, but within the last few generations, our understanding of and ability to treat these conditions has grown by leaps and bounds.
I am a board certified general psychiatrist who trained at the University of South Florida, earning my Bachelor of Science in Biology, and completing medical school and residency at the Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa, Florida. Dr. Michael Miller, MD
I value creating a safe and nonjudgmental space where patients can speak openly about their experiences and goals. I believe in a collaborative approach, working with patients to discover strategies that best suit their lives. I also take into account lifestyle factors that may influence mental health, supporting a well-rounded and sustainable path to wellness.
I begin care with a comprehensive conversation about current concerns, past mental health, physical health, and life experiences. From there, I work with patients to create a personalized treatment plan, whether through therapy, medication, lifestyle adjustments, or a combination. Follow-ups focus on refining the plan to ensure it continues to support the patient's journey.

Dr. Mitchell Laski, MD
I bring empathy, attentiveness, and a non-judgmental approach to every patient interaction. I am deeply committed to ensuring patients feel heard, respected, and understood. Patients can expect me to be thorough and dedicated, consistently advocating for their overall wellness throughout the course of treatment. Understanding that beginning mental health care can be difficult, I start with friendly, casual questions to build rapport, asking about patients' background, interests, and current life situation. I then review their medical and psychiatric history before exploring current symptoms and stressors. Together, the patient and I collaborate to create a personalized treatment plan.
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in 2011 and completed my medical degree at the University of Nebraska College of Medicine in 2017. Dr. Mona Ismail, MD
I am passionate about integrative medicine, which combines evidence-based alternative therapies with conventional treatments to optimize outcomes. My approach focuses on promoting overall wellness, keeping both the body and mind in harmony. During the diagnostic evaluation, I will review your medical history and past treatments to develop a comprehensive, personalized treatment plan that prioritizes your overall wellness. In addition to medication management, I incorporate supportive, cognitive, or psychodynamic psychotherapy during follow-up visits, as time allows. When appropriate, I may also recommend referrals to specialized psychotherapists to address your individual needs as part of a holistic treatment approach.

Dr. Natalia Roque, MD
I believe in building a strong therapeutic alliance grounded in empathy, respect, and curiosity. I value collaboration and open communication, ensuring that patients feel like active partners in their care. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where individuals feel understood as whole people, not defined solely by their symptoms. I also prioritize incorporating cultural background and social determinants of health, including financial stressors and systemic barriers, into treatment planning.
In my work, I begin by taking time to understand each patient's unique story, experiences, and goals. I approach care through a trauma-informed lens and with cultural sensitivity to ensure treatment feels safe, respectful, and relevant. My process integrates evidence-based approaches, including psychodynamic therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), while tailoring care plans to meet both clinical needs and patient preferences. I regularly check in on progress, invite feedback, and adjust treatment collaboratively to support an ongoing, responsive therapeutic process.

Common reasons people in Florida reach out include:

A psychiatrist can also help you understand what kind of care fits, whether that's medication, therapy, or both.

Getting mental health care in Florida
Finding local care in Florida can be hard. Florida has 239 designated mental health professional shortage areas covering roughly 9.87 million people, and only about 24.9% of the need for psychiatric care is currently met. HRSA estimates the state would need about 545 more practitioners to remove those shortage designations (KFF).
Online psychiatry helps close that gap. Because your psychiatrist works with you by video, you're not limited to the providers who happen to practice near you.
