Benita Dieperink, MD

Dr. Cabrera is a board‐certified psychiatrist with several years of experience working with an ethnically and culturally diverse population in outpatient, inpatient, and psychiatric emergency room settings. Most recently, Dr. Cabrera practiced privately treating adults with a wide range of mental illnesses both in person and via telepsychiatry. Prior to this, she was an attending psychiatrist in the outpatient department and in the Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation Center at Mount Sinai Beth Israel where she also served as Associate Training Director of Psychiatric Residency Training. Dr. Cabrera has a strong background in psychopharmacology and supportive and psychodynamic psychotherapy.

Dr. Natalia Roque is a psychiatrist who received her BA in Biology from the University of Chicago and her medical degree from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. She returned to the University of Chicago to complete her psychiatry residency, where she served as Chief Resident of the outpatient psychiatry clinics and was a member of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. She has experience treating patients across inpatient, outpatient, and consultation-liaison psychiatry settings, with additional training in treatment-resistant depression, trauma, neuropsychiatry, ECT, ketamine, geriatric psychiatry, student counseling, LGBTQ+ mental health, women’s mental health, and culturally sensitive care.

Dr. Roque believes in building a strong therapeutic alliance grounded in empathy, respect, and curiosity. She values collaboration and open communication, ensuring that patients feel like active partners in their care. Her goal is to create a safe, supportive space where individuals feel understood as whole people, not defined solely by their symptoms. She also prioritizes incorporating cultural background and social determinants of health, including financial stressors and systemic barriers into treatment planning.

In her work, Dr. Roque begins by taking time to understand each patient’s unique story, experiences, and goals. She approaches care through a trauma-informed lens and with cultural sensitivity to ensure treatment feels safe, respectful, and relevant. Her process integrates evidence-based approaches, including psychodynamic therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), while tailoring care plans to meet both clinical needs and patient preferences. Dr. Roque regularly checks in on progress, invites feedback, and adjusts treatment collaboratively to support an ongoing, responsive therapeutic process.

Dr. Dalhy is a psychiatrist with a practical, patient-centered approach to care. She earned her Associate of Arts Degree in General Studies from Valencia College, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Central Florida. She completed a post-baccalaureate program in Health Sciences before earning her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM). She went on to complete four years of psychiatry residency training at Centerstone Behavioral Health Hospital and Addiction Center in Bradenton, Florida.

Dr. Dalhy has inpatient and outpatient practice experience. She is experienced in treating a wide range of conditions, including complex mood disorders, anxiety disorders, addiction medicine, primary psychotic disorders, and patients in acute crisis.

Her treatment style is straightforward and conservative. She focuses on making accurate diagnoses and creating treatment plans that are as simple and effective as possible—prioritizing the lowest effective dose and minimizing unnecessary medications. She works collaboratively with each patient to develop a treatment plan that is realistic, personalized, and sustainable. She incorporates education into her practice and believes that patients make more informed decisions when they understand their options. You can expect a straightforward and honest approach with no judgment or pressure. She always welcomes questions.

Outside of her clinical work, she values spending time with loved ones, including pets. Dr. Dalhy enjoys spending time outdoors and experiencing new adventures. She values honesty, kindness, and compassion, and she integrates those qualities into her personal life and her work with patients.

Dr. Stephen Byrd is a clinical psychiatrist at Talkiatry. He is board-certified in both psychiatry and addiction medicine. He has been practicing for over 31 years in a wide variety of settings, including working with inpatients and outpatients in private practice, community mental health, geriatric, VA, and community hospital/medical center settings. Dr. Byrd's practice focuses on evidence-based medication management, usually provided in conjunction with 30-minute supportive psychotherapy, which is informed by cognitive behavior therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, and motivational enhancement. When more intensive therapy is needed, Dr Byrd may ask you to include a therapist as part of your care team. He received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in Ohio and completed his residency training in psychiatry at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, University Hospitals of Cleveland. Throughout his career, he has treated patients with a wide variety of conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Additionally, He has served as director of inpatient geropsychiatry at Lutheran Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, program manager of the substance abuse treatment program at the Charlie Norwood Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia, and medical director of outpatient behavioral health at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho. Throughout his career, Dr. Byrd has been active in training medical students and psychiatry residents, and he has held clinical teaching appointments at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine, Medical College of Georgia, University of Washington School of Medicine, Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine and Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine.�.�

Dr. Solomon is a double board-certified psychiatrist in Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He completed medical school in his home state at Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine, where the focus on mind-body connection now fits seamlessly into holistically minded patient care. Dr. Solomon then completed General Psychiatry residency and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship at the University of Colorado, where he was Chief Fellow focused on improving resident/fellow experiences and ensuring all medical students took a firm grasp of psychiatry into their futures. Having worked with patients across their lifespans allows Dr. Solomon to take a well-rounded approach to identifying issues with his patients, especially in family settings. Prior to joining Talkiatry, Dr. Solomon worked in a residential treatment center for teenagers with eating disorders, gaining significant experience with challenging patients and their families. Dr. Solomon uses a variety of therapeutic approaches (supportive, CBT, DBT, psychodynamic) in combination with medication management to help patients identify and develop treatment plans towards their own unique goals. Dr. Julie Rodriguez is an ABPN boarded adult psychiatrist with over 15 years of clinical experience. Dr. Rodriguez's practice focuses on medication management, which is offered in conjunction with supportive therapy. Dr. Rodriguez obtained her medical degree from the Universidad Cat�lica Madre y Maestra Dominican Republic. She then completed her residency in adult psychiatry at the University of Florida, in Gainesville. After completing training, Dr. Rodriguez became a Clinical Assistant Professor for the University of Florida Department of Psychiatry. In this role she served students at UF Student Mental Health at the Counseling and Wellness Center. She also provided treatment to adults in inpatient services and other settings. While doctor Dr. Rodriguez treats a variety of age ranges and diagnoses, she is most passionate about college student mental health with a clinical expertise in the area of mood and anxiety disorders.
