Throughout her career, she has provided care across emergency, inpatient, outpatient, and partial hospitalization settings, treating children, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of psychiatric conditions. Her special interests include treatment-resistant depression, adult-onset ADHD, and bipolar disorder.

Most recently, she served as lead psychiatrist for two Texas state hospital forensic units. She semi-retired from medical education administration in 2020/2021 and continues consultation in medical education and accreditation for developing medical schools. Her interests include human development, physician mental health, and compassionate, transparent care. Outside of medicine, she is the mother of four adult children, enjoys time with her first grandchild, and is the proud owner of Mork, a Yorkshire Terrier named in honor of Robin Williams.
