Dr. Caitlin Gardiner is a board-certified psychiatrist specializing in child and adolescent psychiatry and psychotherapy. Candice earned a Bachelor's degree in her home country of Trinidad and Tobago, and her Master's in Social Work from Adelphi University in Garden City, New York, and has been practicing since 2016. Candice offers supportive, strengths-based, and solution-focused therapy to help clients evoke a sense of hope, strength, and determination during challenging times. Natalie Cummings, MD

Dr. Natalie Cummings is a board-certified adult psychiatrist, and board-eligible geriatric psychiatrist. She obtained her medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and completed her residency training in psychiatry at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and Jackson Memorial Hospital. She then went on to complete her geriatric psychiatry fellowship at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Beth Israel. During her fellowship, Dr. Cummings participated in Mount Sinai's Visiting Doctors Program, providing patient-centered and compassionate care to homebound elder adults in New York City. She also received training at Coler Rehabilitation and Nursing Care Center on Roosevelt Island during her fellowship, and presented at the American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry annual meeting. During her training, Dr. Cummings gained extensive experience providing psychiatric care to various patient populations in multiple patient care settings, including in the outpatient clinic, inpatient unit, and emergency department. Following her training, Dr. Cummings worked at New York Presbyterian's Gracie Square Hospital, serving first in the position of float psychiatrist, providing care to patients on every inpatient psychiatric unit (including the young adult/college student program, Orthodox Jewish program, psychotic disorders program, crisis-stabilization program, dual focus program, and Asian Psychiatry program), before transitioning to an established psychiatric attending for the older adult program. During her time at Gracie Square Hospital, Dr. Cummings received the Physician of the Year Award, and served as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medicine. She worked closely alongside staff psychologist, social workers and nurses to provide multidisciplinary, collaborative care to patients suffering from a variety of mental health conditions. Dr. Cummings primarily focuses on medication management and supportive psychotherapy, but has extensive training in utilizing various therapy modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, reminiscence therapy, and psychodynamic psychotherapy. When appropriate, Dr. Cummings will refer for more extensive psychotherapy and/or collaborate with your established psychotherapist for comprehensive care. Dr. Cummings strongly believes that addressing psychosocial and interpersonal factors (including relationship health, economic stressors, social isolation and loneliness) is as essential as pharmacologic management in treating mental health conditions. She has particular experience and interest in treating older adults and those suffering from memory disorders, but provides treatment for a variety of psychiatric conditions including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorders, trauma-related disorders and substance use disorders. Dr. Cummings is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry.

Jennifer Lyman, MD

Dr. Lyman is a board-certified psychiatrist who values the lived experience of every individual seeking treatment. She completed her undergraduate studies at Stanford University, received her MPH from the University of Hawai'i, Manoa, and graduated with her MD from the John A. Burns School of Medicine. She completed her residency training in Psychiatry at the Queens Medical Center, where she served as chief resident. She is currently pursuing a nutritional psychiatry certificate through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute and has a particular interest in the connection between the food we consume and our emotional well-being. While her practice focuses on medication management, she often takes the time to provide supportive, cognitive or dialectical based therapy in a follow-up visit. She believes that achieving mental wellness extends beyond addressing one's symptoms and hopes to guide her patients towards feeling aware and empowered. Julia Askinazi is an LCSW with 14 years of experience and substantial experience working in the field of mental health. Julia has collaborated with clients from diverse backgrounds with a broad range of psychiatric as well as physical health challenges. Julia earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work from Shepherd College and her Master's degree from the Charleston campus of West Virginia University. Julia has volunteered or worked in nearly every type of setting from daycares to nursing homes, including homeless shelters, hospices, with foster children and adoptive families, psych hospitals, Neuro ICU, Federally Qualified Health Centers, and even private practice. In undergraduate school she was President of the Social Work Association and interned for the National Association of Social Workers in graduate school. She has worked with people in recovery, clients who are HIV positive, those enlisted in the military and their family members, including neurodiverse and LGBTIQA individuals. Julia has been practicing as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for 14 years, with an emphasis on Anxiety Disorders and Complicated Mourning, including symptoms that hinder daily functioning. She completed her undergraduate degree in Biology and History at Fordham University in the Bronx and then attended medical school at the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University. She completed her residency at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio as a member of the United States Air Force. Dr. Negrey served as an active duty psychiatrist; her duties included medical director of the mental health clinic at a special operations base as well as a program manager for the Air Force substance use program. Dr. Negrey has experience treating a wide range of ages and diagnoses, with particular emphasis on personality disorders, depression, anxiety, and post traumatic stress disorder. She integrates supportive and psychodynamic therapies into her medication management appointments with a goal of achieving improvement through a holistic approach.
