Fariha Hossain, MD
Dr. Fariha Hossain is a child and adolescent psychiatrist with training in general psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. She completed her residency at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center and fellowship at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, and earned her M.D. from Ross University School of Medicine. She is passionate about culturally responsive care, mental health equity, and serving diverse communities. Fluent in English and Bengali, she supports effective communication with patients and families.
Dr. Hossain creates a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where patients feel heard and respected. She values collaboration and open communication with patients and families, taking a culturally sensitive, individualized approach. Her goal is to help patients improve symptoms, functioning, and overall quality of life.
Dr. Hossain begins with a comprehensive evaluation to understand each patient’s history, concerns, and goals. She develops individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and families, incorporating medication management, psychoeducation, and supportive therapy-informed care. She closely monitors progress and adjusts treatment as needed.
