Biography
Dr. Maria Aguilar earned her medical degree from the Uniformed Services University School of Medicine and completed her psychiatry residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. She is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and has practiced in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Dr. Aguilar served as Clinic Chief for Intensive Outpatient Services at Walter Reed from 2019 to 2021 and later held leadership roles including Director of Behavioral Health, Department Head, and outpatient psychiatrist at Naval Hospital Beaufort. She has 15 years of active-duty service as a psychiatrist in the U.S. Navy and currently serves in the Navy Reserve.
