I’m a board-certified adult psychiatrist dedicated to providing excellent mental health care. I trained at St. George’s University School of Medicine and completed my psychiatry residency at SUNY Downstate and Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn. I’ve worked in psychiatric emergency rooms, inpatient units, and outpatient clinics, caring for age ranges from young adults to geriatric patients. I research AI and mental health with Brainstorm at Stanford and am adjunct faculty at the University of Global Health Equity in Rwanda.

Prior, I received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin in 1999, graduating with high honors, and a medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in 2004. I have been certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology since 2009.

I am a collaborative physician, interested in the full picture of a patient’s life and inviting questions and discussion about what is and is not pathology, and which treatment plans fit an individual’s goals and lifestyle. I am often praised as “the only one who ever explains things,” and have won awards as the best mental health provider in my region twice in recent years.

With a substantial background in psychotherapeutic training, I work to minimize and justify the role of psychotropic medication in my patients’ lives, regularly reviewing propriety and necessity. Front and center is always quality of life, not impersonal diagnostic categories. I strive to help my patients “meet themselves where they are” as individuals, with an emphasis on resilience. My ultimate goal is to no longer be necessary.

I am a board-certified psychiatrist for the lifespan, experienced in working with all ages from children and adolescents to older adults. My training includes medical school at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California, adult psychiatry residency at the University of California, Irvine, and fellowship training in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Colorado/Children’s Hospital of Colorado. During my final year of training, I also served as chief fellow and advocated for system-wide changes to improve the quality of care for all patients.

Dr. Kelsey Kershaw is a psychiatrist with experience practicing in both outpatient and inpatient settings. She is trained in the evaluation and treatment of adults with a broad range of psychiatric conditions. She earned her medical degree from St. George's University and completed her psychiatry residency at Central Michigan University, where she served as chief resident during her final year.

During residency, she served as Co-Chief Resident and later Chief Resident. Dr. Sayed also worked as an outpatient psychiatrist at Access Community Health Network and has extensive telehealth experience.

Dorielayn Arocho, MD, earned a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez (RUM) and a medical degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara (UAG) School of Medicine in Mexico. Dr. Arocho completed psychiatry residency training at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in El Paso (TTUHSC-EP), where she served as Chief Resident during her final year.

I received my Medical Degree from the University of Texas Medical School–Houston in 1992 and completed a combined Internal Medicine/Psychiatry residency at Duke University Medical Center in 1997. I later served on the faculty of Duke’s Departments of Medicine and Psychiatry and have practiced both psychiatry and internal medicine in private practice. I have also served as Medical Director and Chief Medical Officer at several hospitals in North Carolina.

My background in both internal medicine and psychiatry allows me to consider the connection between physical and mental health when caring for patients. I strive to provide thoughtful, comprehensive care while taking each patient’s individual needs and circumstances into account.
