Dr. Brian Braumiller, DO, earned his degrees from Ohio University and Wright State University and served as chief resident in psychiatry from 1995 to 1996. Dr. Braumiller has also served as an assistant professor and medical director for multiple facilities and remains current on advances in psychiatric care through ongoing Maintenance of Certification activities. Dr. Amal Chowdhary is a board-certified psychiatrist with specialized training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences from Texas A&M University and her medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. After completing General Psychiatry residency training and a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship at Nicklaus Children's Hospital, she gained experience across outpatient, inpatient, consultation-liaison, and emergency settings. Dr. Chowdhary treats adolescents and adults with anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma-related conditions, and other mental health concerns, and is committed to culturally informed, patient-centered care.

After moving to the U.S. in 1994, she completed 27 months of fellowship training in forensic, addiction, and child & adolescent psychiatry. She has served as a visiting scientist and Research Assistant Professor and has broad experience treating adults, including uniformed personnel and those with co-occurring mental health and substance use conditions. She recently retired from a full-time Chief Medical Officer role.

Dr. Rachel Bennett is a double board-certified physician in General Adult and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.  She graduated magna cum laude from Rosemont College, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology with dual minors in Biochemistry and English Literature.  She earned her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine with a concentration in Medical Humanities.  Dr. Bennett completed residency training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.  Her areas of research interest and publication during undergraduate and medical study and training have included pediatric palliative care, caregiver burden, autism spectrum disorders, and attachment-based family therapy.

Before joining Talkiatry, Dr. Bennett worked for nearly 12 years as a staff psychiatrist for Prospect Crozer Keystone Health System.  Her extensive clinical experience includes providing in-person and telepsychiatric care in a variety of settings including outpatient psychotherapy and community mental healthcare practices, hospital-based clinics, and school-based treatment programs, as well as emergency, consultation-liaison, and inpatient psychiatry.

Brian F. Lann, MA, LPC, LPC-S, LAC, is a licensed mental health professional with over 23 years of experience across outpatient, inpatient, and telehealth settings. Brian is trained in CBT, ERP, HRT, DBT, and trauma-focused therapies, and has completed extensive specialized training in evidence-based interventions for OCD and related disorders.

He completed residency and fellowship training in New York through the Northwell Health System and BronxCare Health System, where he served as Chief Fellow in Child Psychiatry. Marcela has worked with diverse populations experiencing homelessness, substance use, mental health disorders, and behavioral concerns. She has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, families, and adults, and provides therapy in both English and Spanish.

Marcela is authentic, realistic, and reliable, and believes therapy should be a supportive and empowering experience. She is deeply committed to helping clients reach their maximum potential by fostering insight, resilience, and personal growth. Elizabeth Vah, LCSW, graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2008 with a master’s degree in clinical social work. She completed her internship at Seton Medical Center, gaining experience in the emergency room and specialty clinics. Elizabeth has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings and has training in DBT, CBT, mindfulness, solution-focused, and person-centered counseling.

Elizabeth takes a collaborative approach, partnering with patients to clarify goals and create a roadmap for growth. She has supported individuals from diverse backgrounds facing anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, interpersonal challenges, and severe mental illness. Her approach blends evidence-based therapies with individualized care, emphasizing a trusting, supportive relationship and a safe, nonjudgmental environment.

In the first session, Elizabeth creates a welcoming space to discuss challenges, goals, and personal history, reviewing confidentiality and treatment structure. Together, she and the patient develop a personalized plan. Dr. Pe Win is a board-certified psychiatrist.  He earned his medical degree (M.B.,B.S) from Institute of Medicine (1), Rangoon, Burma.  He went to obtain master’s degree in public health (MPH, Epidemiology and Biostatistics) from New York Medical College, Valhalla, New York.  He worked as a researcher in the area of Behavioral Health associated with drug use among HIV patients and Colombian youth.  He published several papers together with principal investigators on NIMH grants.  He received his residency training in psychiatry at Westchester Medical Center, Valhalla, New York.

Dr. Win has extensive experience in working with veterans (23 years in VA health care system) in outpatient setting. He has plethora of experience in dealing with different levels of PTSD (combat-related and military sexual trauma), anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, OCD, mood disorders as well as behavioral issues related with memory impairment (e.g. Traumatic Brain Injury and  dementia).      

Dr. Win also worked in inpatient setting for both adolescents and adults for 5 years on a part-time basis in Four Winds Hospital, Katonah, New York.

During the first visit, patients can expect comprehensive interview focusing on patient- center approach.  After attentive, compassionate interview and open communication, patients will be evaluated thoroughly of their symptoms, mental and medical heath history, social history, family history, risk assessment, patient’s goals and needs, and treatment plan will be discussed.

Kynan also brings firsthand experience advocating for medically complex children and their families, which informs a deep understanding of caregiver stress, medical trauma, and systems fatigue. Kynan brings a grounded, compassionate approach shaped by work in high-acuity environments. Dr. Michael Manasterski is a board certified general psychiatrist. Before joining Talkiatry, he had the honor of working for the Department of Veterans Affairs in both outpatient and residential settings, and gained experience in improving quality of life for veterans with a wide range of troublesome to downright disabling psychiatric conditions, including severe anxiety and mood disorders, psychosis, obsessive-compulsive disorder, developmental disorders including autism spectrum and attention-deficit disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder. These disorders have almost certainly been with us for all of recorded human history, but within the last few generations, our understanding of and ability to treat these conditions has grown by leaps and bounds.

Dr. Manasterski trained at the University of South Florida, earning his Bachelor of Science in Biology, and completing medical school and residency at the Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa, Florida. During his time in training and at the VA, his passion for teaching, both medical trainees and patients, found a productive outlet. Gary Etter, MD is a board-certified psychiatrist with experience across outpatient, inpatient, and emergency settings, including many years within the John Peter Smith Healthcare System. He has also practiced in federal correctional psychiatric settings and outpatient care through Tarrant County MHMR. Dr. Etter has been extensively involved in psychiatric education for medical students and psychiatry residents. He has participated in organized psychiatry for many years through the Texas Society of Psychiatric Physicians, serving on multiple committees and previously as President of the Texas Psychiatric Society. He earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and completed his psychiatry residency at Timberlawn Psychiatric Hospital in Dallas. He is a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.

Dr. Etter values ongoing patient input and strives to create a collaborative treatment environment where patients are actively involved in decision-making. He emphasizes a warm, supportive approach that helps patients feel heard, respected, and understood throughout their care.

Dr. Kaur is an adult psychiatrist dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. She completed her undergraduate studies in Exercise Science and Public Health at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and earned her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Health Sciences in St. Kitts. Dr. Kaur completed her transitional year residency at Coliseum Medical Center/Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, with focused training in Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Emergency Medicine, and Neurology. She then pursued her general adult psychiatry residency at Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center in Ohio. She further specialized by completing a fellowship in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, with emphasis on psycho-oncology, women’s mental health, and Med-Psych.

Rhea Kisling, LPC, LCMHC, LMHC, CPCS, brings more than 20 years of experience to her work as a therapist. She has served in inpatient, outpatient, emergency, hospital, and community mental health settings, as well as leadership roles such as managing the social services department at a crisis stabilization facility. Rhea earned her MS in Clinical/Counseling Psychology and Ed.S. in School Psychology from Valdosta State University, and a BA in Psychology and Sociology from Loyola University in New Orleans. Licensed in Georgia, North Carolina, Florida, and South Carolina, she is also trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

Rhea understands that beginning counseling can feel intimidating and strives to create a safe, welcoming environment where therapy moves at the patient’s pace. She primarily uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy while incorporating elements of Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused approaches, Strength-Based methods, Motivational Interviewing, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Drawing on her multicultural background, she respects and honors each individual’s unique experiences and cultures. Tamara Lazenby, MD is a board-certified psychiatrist with more than 20 years of clinical and academic experience in emergency mental health, disaster response, and trauma-focused care. She earned her undergraduate degree at George Mason University and completed her medical degree at Eastern Virginia Medical School. After the September 11th attacks, Dr. Lazenby trained in psychiatry at New York Medical College’s Saint Vincent’s Hospital, specializing in emergency and trauma psychiatry.

She previously served as Associate Director of Wellness & Emergency Response Services at New York University’s Student Health Center, leading a team that cared for more than 50,000 global NYU students. Dr. Lazenby also previously served as Staff Psychiatrist and Team Lead for the Combat PTSD Clinical Team at the Hampton VA Medical Center, providing care for veterans with service-related trauma and implementing National VA Standards of Care.

After earning dual degrees in Biology and Biochemistry from the University of California, Riverside, he opened a popular Riverside eatery featured on The Food Channel. He later transitioned to the IT industry, earning a master’s degree and certifications, before answering his true calling in medicine, graduating from Saint Matthews University School of Medicine.

Dr. Natalia Roque is a psychiatrist who received her BA in Biology from the University of Chicago and her medical degree from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. She returned to the University of Chicago to complete her psychiatry residency, where she served as Chief Resident of the outpatient psychiatry clinics and was a member of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee.
