Dr. Masters offers an integration of medication management and various psychotherapy. He is certified in supportive psychotherapy, prolonged exposure therapy for PTSD, motivational interviewing, CBT for chronic pain, Integrated Behavioral Couples Therapy and Whole Health.  With the right combination of treatments, patients can achieve their potential and relieve suffering.

In an initial visit, patients can expect a thorough, collaborative discussion with shared decision making to understand their symptoms, life goals, and clinical needs. Dr. Masters will evaluate the patient's condition to determine appropriate medication interventions and discuss personalized treatment recommendations including integrated psychotherapy.  Typical follow-up visits are approximately 20-30 minutes in length. Depending on the severity and complexity of a patient's situation, referrals to additional counseling or therapy may also be suggested.

Cory Alfers, DO

Dr. Alfers is a board-certified psychiatrist specializing in adult psychiatry. He has been practicing for over 11 years. He completed his undergraduate education at Virginia Tech, graduating Cum Laude with degrees in Biology and Chemistry. Following graduation, he attended a research internship at the National Institutes of Health where he received a Post-baccalaureate Intramural Research Training Award. Dr. Alfers completed his medical degree from the Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA. He completed his General Psychiatry Residency at Georgetown University, where he served as Chief Resident. After residency, he entered private practice in McLean, VA. Dr. Alfers takes a comprehensive approach to patient care. He integrates biological, psychological, and environmental factors into treatment planning. He focuses on developing a meaningful therapeutic relationship and providing medication interventions for specific treatment goals. Dr. Alfers provides interpersonal psychotherapy in conjunction with medication management services. She finished her master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and began working in the Crisis Stabilization Unit. Melissa assisted with the opening of a psychiatric hospital, advocating for the needs of the patient. Jenna McDonald is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York State who has extensive experience working in the mental health field. Jenna attended undergraduate school in Amherst, NY, and graduate school in Buffalo, NY, and completed internship programs during her time at both schools. Jenna continues to obtain knowledge through regular trainings and certifications that interest her, including EMDR. Jenna has worked directly with many different kinds of clients, who have experienced an array of mental health concerns at all levels. Jenna also has experience in working with comorbid disorders that can at times go hand-in-hand such as anxiety & depression, or homelessness & substance use. Jenna has been working in mental and behavioral health for approximately 10 years and has continued after being fully licensed, which requires 3000 hours of supervised experience as well. Dr. Prit Patel is a board-certified adult psychiatrist. He obtained his medical degree from the University of South Florida and subsequently completed his residency training at the University of Texas at Austin and Northwell Health's Zucker Hillside Hospital. During his training, Dr. Patel also served as chief resident of Zucker's Hillside Hospital's outpatient psychiatric department. Following his training, Dr. Patel has previously worked at New York Presbyterian's Gracie Square Hospital, where he served as an inpatient psychiatrist treating a variety of mental health conditions, utilizing a combination of medication management and therapeutic techniques in helping those experiencing distress due to their conditions. Throughout his training and career thus far, Dr. Patel has received several awards for his clinical care and contribution to medical and psychiatric education, such as Zucker Hillside's Psychiatric Educator award. Jacob Kannarkat , MD

Dr. Jacob T. Kannarkat is an adult psychiatrist. Dr. Kannarkat's practice focuses on medication management.
