Cody Zaiontz, LPC

Staff Therapist

Cody Zaiontz is an LPC in the state of Texas. He has been providing counseling services to a variety of clients, who have sought help for many different types of mental health conditions, for over 5 years. Cody completed his undergraduate education in San Marcos, Texas at Texas State University and earned his bachelor's degree in psychology. He went on to complete his graduate school training in Counseling & Guidance at Texas A&M University San Antonio. His practicum training took place at the UT Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas where he was trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and crisis management. Upon graduating with his master's in counseling, Cody worked for 2 years helping individuals diagnosed with a serious mental illness (schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, etc.) in an inpatient psychiatric hospital. He then learned how to provide outpatient counseling services, both in-person and through a secure telehealth platform. In his private practice, he worked with adults dealing with substance abuse, PTSD, depression, anxiety, and family issues. He also helped his clients work towards weight loss goals, learn ways to improve sleep, learn ways to increase their social support system, and learn other skills that will help them live a happier, more fulfilled life. Cody operated his private practice until he joined Talkiatry in the fall of 2024.

Joanne Cedeno, LMHC

Staff Therapist

Joanne is a Latinx, first generation, biliterate licensed mental health counselor- LMHC-D. Joanne enjoys working with individuals from diverse populations facing grief/loss, relational difficulties as well as anxiety/depression stemming from life and identity transitions through a trauma-focused and culturally responsive lens.

Joanne's previous experience includes supporting clients across a variety of outpatient settings that includes private practice and community based mental health organizations. She has experience working with clients across the lifespan with concerns ranging from anxiety and depression to serious and persistent mental health issues via individual therapy, group counseling and family therapy. Joanne's therapeutic approach is highly empathetic, client-centered, and strengths-based, which aims to empower individuals to tap into their inherent potential. As a direct clinician, a client can expect a mix of humor and curiosity as they work collaboratively to explore their mental health needs, co-create resilience, and cultivate the best version of themselves.

Joanne combines a mix of evidence-based practices such as Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy as well as Internal Family Systems. Additionally, Joanne is also certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD. Clients can expect an individualized therapeutic experience that aims to help them walk away from their sessions feeling supported, empowered and energized to work on their personal growth.

Vanessa Leger, LCSW

Staff Therapist

Vanessa is a licensed psychotherapist who specializes in forensics, ADHD and anxiety disorders. Vanessa received her Master's in Clinical Social Work from Barry University and her Bachelor's degree in Human Services from Indian River State College. Vanessa has experience working with patients that are in dialysis, individuals that have co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, and individuals that are navigating the court system.

When working with patients; Vanessa provides a safe and warm therapeutic environment for the patient to express themselves. Vanessa engages in a non-judgmental approach and offers appropriate support as well as resources. Vanessa provides compassion, empathy, unconditional positive regard and empowerment tools to assist her patients. Vanessa believes in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and kindness. Vanessa has experience in helping clients who have issues related to stress and anxiety, coping with life changes, & compassion fatigue. Vanessa also has experience working with concentration, memory, and focus (ADHD).

Vanessa believes that the patient is the expert in their respective lives and works with the patient towards unlocking their potential. Vanessa utilizes mindfulness, person-centered therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, narrative therapy, art therapy, and reality-based therapy as clinical approaches.

Jennifer Maguire, LPC

Jennifer Maguire is a Licensed Professional Counselor in New Jersey with over 25 years of experience supporting individuals through life’s most complex challenges. She holds degrees from Rutgers University, Rowan University, and the University of Phoenix.

Jennifer Maguire approach is warm, interactive, and client-centered, guided by empathy, respect, and collaboration. Jennifer draws from evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and trauma-informed care. She works closely with each client to identify strengths, clarify goals, and create a personalized treatment plan that fosters healing and growth.

Jennifer Maguire supports clients in understanding how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors connect, and teaches skills like mindfulness, distress tolerance, and emotional regulation. Jennifer believes therapy is a partnership where clients feel heard, empowered, and respected. Her goal is to help individuals move toward a life of greater peace, connection, and fulfillment.
