She worked as an inpatient psychiatrist at the Huntsman Mental Health Institute and later at Eating Recovery Center and Pathlight Mood & Anxiety Center in Chicago and Denver, where she served as Medical Director. She has held faculty roles at Rush Medical College, the University of Utah, and the University of Colorado, and is a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS).

Dr. Bauschka takes a collaborative, communicative approach, creating a space where patients feel heard and respected. She integrates psychotherapeutic techniques, goal setting, and medication management to support patients in working toward feeling their best.

Dr. Martha Maria Coetzee is a board-certified Psychiatrist and Addiction Psychiatrist with extensive international training. She completed her medical education at the University of Pretoria in South Africa, followed by seven years of postgraduate residency across multiple specialties. After moving to the U.S. in 1994, she completed 27 months of fellowship training in forensic, addiction, and child & adolescent psychiatry. She has served as a visiting scientist and Research Assistant Professor and has broad experience treating adults, including uniformed personnel and those with co-occurring mental health and substance use conditions. She recently retired from a full-time Chief Medical Officer role.

Dr. Coetzee takes a patient-centered, bio-psycho-social approach to care. She values open communication and actively encourages both positive and constructive feedback to guide treatment. Dr. Tiffany Mattingly is a board-certified psychiatrist through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with over 10 years of outpatient experience. She works with adults across the lifespan, including women, men, and LGBTQIA+ patients. Her expertise includes depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, substance use, and complex PTSD, with experience supporting veterans and military families. She earned her MD and completed residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

Dr. Emily Mukherji earned her undergraduate degree in Brain and Cognitive Sciences from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and her MD from Tufts University School of Medicine. She completed psychiatry residency at Massachusetts General Hospital/McLean Hospital, serving as Chief Resident in Psychotherapy during her final year. With 12 years of outpatient experience, she has worked with diverse patients and symptoms, led an academic outpatient clinic, and supported its transition to telehealth during COVID-19. She enjoys time with family and friends, reading, travel, and movies.

Dr. Mukherji fosters a warm, supportive environment where patients feel heard and respected. She believes each person has a unique story and that treatment should be collaborative, thoughtful, and tailored to individual needs, goals, and values.

She begins with a thorough evaluation, exploring history, interests, relationships, and goals to understand symptoms in context. She integrates medication management with psychodynamic therapy, CBT, motivational interviewing, and supportive therapy as needed. Care typically includes monthly visits until stable, then every 2–4 months to support continuity and long-term well-being.

Dr. Rachel Bennett is a double board-certified physician in General Adult and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.  She graduated magna cum laude from Rosemont College, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology with dual minors in Biochemistry and English Literature.  She earned her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine with a concentration in Medical Humanities.  Dr. Bennett completed residency training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.  Her areas of research interest and publication during undergraduate and medical study and training have included pediatric palliative care, caregiver burden, autism spectrum disorders, and attachment-based family therapy.

Before joining Talkiatry, Dr. Bennett worked for nearly 12 years as a staff psychiatrist for Prospect Crozer Keystone Health System.  Her extensive clinical experience includes providing in-person and telepsychiatric care in a variety of settings including outpatient psychotherapy and community mental healthcare practices, hospital-based clinics, and school-based treatment programs, as well as emergency, consultation-liaison, and inpatient psychiatry.

Dr. Bennett’s treatment approach features an appreciation of the power of narrative in pursuit of deep self-understanding and meaningful personal progress.  She offers thorough assessment in an approachable, warm, and authentic manner, emphasizing the importance of lifestyle factors, the mind-body connection, relationships, and therapeutic rapport in collaboratively empowering her patients to achieve positive change, recovery, and resilience.  She has training and experience in a wide range of therapeutic modalities, including supportive, psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and family psychotherapy as well as positive psychology, and Dr. Bennett’s strong systems-oriented perspective facilitates her provision of evidence-based care both as an individual psychiatrist and in collaboration with specialized medical and therapeutic care providers when appropriate.

Brian F. Lann, MA, LPC, LPC-S, LAC, is a licensed mental health professional with over 23 years of experience across outpatient, inpatient, and telehealth settings. He specializes in substance use disorders and complex conditions including OCD, anxiety disorders, and Major Depression. Brian is trained in CBT, ERP, HRT, DBT, and trauma-focused therapies, and has completed extensive specialized training in evidence-based interventions for OCD and related disorders.

Dr. Claudia Cao is a board-certified psychiatrist. Prior to psychiatry, Dr. Cao was a board-certified anesthesiologist and completed her anesthesia residency at UCLA and an obstetric anesthesia fellowship at Mass General Brigham.

Dr. Cao takes a multimodal approach to mental health care, integrating medication management, psychotherapy, lifestyle changes, and integrative methods. Dr. Robert Dugger is a board-certified psychiatrist in General Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. Born and raised in Miami to a Virginian father and Cuban mother, he is bilingual in English and Spanish. He earned a B.A. in Biology and Political Science from the University of Miami, a Master of Public Health in Health Policy from New York Medical College, and his M.D. from Stony Brook University School of Medicine. He completed residency and fellowship training in New York through the Northwell Health System and BronxCare Health System, where he served as Chief Fellow in Child Psychiatry. He has also worked as a researcher at institutions including Columbia University. Outside of work, he enjoys gaming, sci-fi fantasy, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, hiking, sailing, and sportfishing.

Marcela Medina is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Social Work from Florida International University. She is a dedicated and passionate clinician who understands the challenges individuals and families face across different stages of life. Marcela has worked with diverse populations experiencing homelessness, substance use, mental health disorders, and behavioral concerns. She has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, families, and adults, and provides therapy in both English and Spanish.

Marcela is authentic, realistic, and reliable, and believes therapy should be a supportive and empowering experience. She is deeply committed to helping clients reach their maximum potential by fostering insight, resilience, and personal growth. Marcela focuses on empowering clients to take control of their lives while creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where they feel heard, respected, and supported throughout the therapeutic process.

Elizabeth Vah, LCSW, graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2008 with a master’s degree in clinical social work. She completed her internship at Seton Medical Center, gaining experience in the emergency room and specialty clinics. Elizabeth has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings and has training in DBT, CBT, mindfulness, solution-focused, and person-centered counseling.

Elizabeth takes a collaborative approach, partnering with patients to clarify goals and create a roadmap for growth. She has supported individuals from diverse backgrounds facing anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, interpersonal challenges, and severe mental illness. Her approach blends evidence-based therapies with individualized care, emphasizing a trusting, supportive relationship and a safe, nonjudgmental environment.

In the first session, Elizabeth creates a welcoming space to discuss challenges, goals, and personal history, reviewing confidentiality and treatment structure. Together, she and the patient develop a personalized plan. Dr. Pe Win is a board-certified psychiatrist.  He earned his medical degree (M.B.,B.S) from Institute of Medicine (1), Rangoon, Burma.  He went to obtain master’s degree in public health (MPH, Epidemiology and Biostatistics) from New York Medical College, Valhalla, New York.  He worked as a researcher in the area of Behavioral Health associated with drug use among HIV patients and Colombian youth.  He published several papers together with principal investigators on NIMH grants.  He received his residency training in psychiatry at Westchester Medical Center, Valhalla, New York.

Dr. Win has extensive experience in working with veterans (23 years in VA health care system) in outpatient setting. He has plethora of experience in dealing with different levels of PTSD (combat-related and military sexual trauma), anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, OCD, mood disorders as well as behavioral issues related with memory impairment (e.g. Traumatic Brain Injury and  dementia).      

Dr. Win also worked in inpatient setting for both adolescents and adults for 5 years on a part-time basis in Four Winds Hospital, Katonah, New York.

During the first visit, patients can expect comprehensive interview focusing on patient- center approach.  After attentive, compassionate interview and open communication, patients will be evaluated thoroughly of their symptoms, mental and medical heath history, social history, family history, risk assessment, patient’s goals and needs, and treatment plan will be discussed.

He will provide warm and supportive environment by active listening and giving constructive suggestions.  He will explore possible coping strategies, assess patient’s readiness to change, and provide mindfulness, behavioral modification, CBT, motivational interview as well as medication management emphasizing on personalized treatment plan.

Kynan Kinley is a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience across inpatient acute psychiatric settings, inpatient substance use and addiction recovery, and outpatient care. Their clinical background includes supporting individuals experiencing acute mental health crises, co-occurring disorders, and complex psychosocial stressors. Kynan also brings firsthand experience advocating for medically complex children and their families, which informs a deep understanding of caregiver stress, medical trauma, and systems fatigue. They are trained in trauma-informed, evidence-based approaches emphasizing attachment, nervous system regulation, emotional safety, and sustainable coping skills.

Kynan brings a grounded, compassionate approach shaped by work in high-acuity environments. They understand how overwhelming it can feel to navigate mental health, medical, or recovery systems that often move faster than emotions can process. Their style is warm, collaborative, and direct, balancing validation with gentle challenge when patterns are no longer serving the client. Kynan prioritizes transparency, autonomy, and pacing therapy in a way that feels safe, respectful, and empowering.

Cherie earned her master’s degree in counseling psychology from National University and completed her intern hours working with adolescents in foster care and adults with severe mental illness in community-based programs. Over the past four years, she has focused on mental and behavioral health in a telehealth setting, treating lower-acuity concerns such as anxiety, depression, panic, and adjustment disorders, along with trauma work using EMDR.

Cherie believes it is both a privilege and a responsibility to create a safe, supportive space where patients can clarify goals and develop aspirations. Her work emphasizes identifying barriers to success and examining unhelpful core beliefs, allowing patients to move toward meaningful and sustainable change.

Cherie spends the first one to two sessions gaining a clear understanding of where patients are coming from and where they would like to go. From there, she collaborates with patients to develop individualized goals, revisiting and refining them over time to support clarity, growth, and progress throughout therapy.

Amanda Bevan is a licensed therapist with five years of experience working with adults. She holds a Master of Social Work from The Ohio State University and is licensed as an LISW-S in Ohio and an LCSW in Maine and Virginia. Amanda has experience treating anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, life transitions, and self-esteem, and has worked primarily with adults in community mental health, healthcare, and outpatient substance use and mental health settings. Her clinical work draws from evidence-based approaches including CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness-based therapy, motivational interviewing, and strengths-based care.

Amanda brings a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental style to therapy. She believes treatment should be personalized, goal-focused, holistic, and centered on each individual’s unique needs. She prioritizes creating a safe and supportive space where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout their therapeutic journey.

Bernadette Hulsinger, LPC works with individuals from young adulthood through senior adulthood and has experience across inpatient and outpatient settings. She is a clinical trauma counselor with expertise in crisis intervention, risk assessment, TBI, ASD, and couples and family counseling. Bernadette has provided telehealth services since 2017 and holds Board Certification in Telemental Health (BC-TMH). She also serves as a supervisor for counselors working toward licensure.

Bernadette’s style is warm, conversational, and wellness-focused. While she may challenge clients, it is always done in a non-confrontational and supportive manner. She provides a judgment-free space for all clients, including those in poly relationships. Sessions emphasize collaboration, with clients setting their own goals while receiving guidance and exploration along the way.

Bernadette works collaboratively to develop a treatment plan with attainable goals, emphasizing steady progress and overall wellness—being “just a bit more well today than in past days.” She regularly checks in about the therapeutic relationship and values feedback, always prioritizing client safety, comfort, and fit.

Justin Hampton is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience across a wide range of mental health and social service settings, including academic outpatient clinics, community health centers, residential programs, clinical research, the VA, EAP services, and HIV/AIDS service organizations. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Saint Louis University and a Master of Social Work in Clinical Social Work/Mental Health from Washington University in St. Louis.

Justin has a particular passion and specialty in working with the LGBTQ population. He also enjoys helping patients address depression and mood concerns, anxiety disorders, trauma, self-criticism and shame, grief and loss, major life transitions, social discontent, and medical conditions such as HIV/AIDS. He works with adults across the lifespan and strives to create an affirming and inclusive therapeutic environment.

Justin’s work with each patient is individualized and guided by their needs and collaboratively defined goals. Patients can expect a warm, authentic, and direct therapeutic style. His approach is primarily skills-based, most often drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, within a client-centered and attachment-focused relationship. Therapy often explores how perspective, assumptions, and self-narratives contribute to distress, with practical action plans to support growth. Justin views therapy as a collaborative process aimed at meaningful change and a more fulfilling, values-driven life.

Dr. Gregory Arthmann recently passed the ABPM Addiction Medicine board exam. Dr. Arthmann is an ABPN board‑certified psychiatrist who received his medical degree from the University of Sint Eustatius. He completed two years of Internal Medicine residency at WellSpan York Hospital in Pennsylvania prior to completing his Psychiatry residency training at East Carolina University in North Carolina.

Dr. Arthmann has over 10 years of experience practicing psychiatry and has treated a broad spectrum of acute and chronic psychiatric disorders. He utilizes a patient-centered, biopsychosocial approach to psychiatry, primarily focusing on psychopharmacological interventions that align with each patient’s unique treatment goals and clinical needs. His practice style centers around medication management with adjunctive supportive therapy tailored to individual needs. Depending on each patient’s circumstances, he may recommend additional support from individual, family, or group counselors and therapists to achieve optimal outcomes.

During an initial visit, patients can expect a thorough and collaborative discussion focused on their symptoms, treatment goals, and clinical needs. Dr. Arthmann will evaluate the patient’s condition to determine appropriate medication interventions and discuss personalized treatment recommendations. Typical follow-up visits are approximately 20–30 minutes in length. Depending on the severity and complexity of a patient’s situation, referral for additional counseling or therapy may be suggested.

Dr. Michael Manasterski is a board certified general psychiatrist. Before joining Talkiatry, he had the honor of working for the Department of Veterans Affairs in both outpatient and residential settings, and gained experience in improving quality of life for veterans with a wide range of troublesome to downright disabling psychiatric conditions, including severe anxiety and mood disorders, psychosis, obsessive-compulsive disorder, developmental disorders including autism spectrum and attention-deficit disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder. These disorders have almost certainly been with us for all of recorded human history, but within the last few generations, our understanding of and ability to treat these conditions has grown by leaps and bounds.

Dr. Manasterski trained at the University of South Florida, earning his Bachelor of Science in Biology, and completing medical school and residency at the Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa, Florida. During his time in training and at the VA, his passion for teaching, both medical trainees and patients, found a productive outlet. He looks forward to bringing that experience forward to serve the broader population in these unprecedented times.

David was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and is a graduate of Augustana College. He obtained his MD at the USD School of Medicine. His residency was at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) in Little Rock where he was trained in both psychotherapy and biological management of psychiatric challenges.

Following residency training, Dr. Wait continued to work with UAMS and the State of Arkansas in research and program development focusing on implementing and then teaching novel strengths focused care for people with severe mental illness for the first 12 years of his career.

Later, Dr. Wait moved with his wife and three children to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. He has since been in clinical practice and leadership roles in inpatient, outpatient, and telehealth psychiatric care settings.

Dr. Locher received his Bachelor of Science Undergraduate degree in 3 years with Phi Beta Kappa honors at University of Miami, Florida. In medical school at Stony Brook School of Medicine in New York, Dr. Locher was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society while earning his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. Dr. Locher has held academic appointments at University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine, College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific Western University of Health Sciences, and Ventura Community Memorial Health System Psychiatric Residency Training Program. During her training, she gained extensive clinical experience in working with adults and veterans in psychiatric inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings. She also served as a chief resident of the psychiatry program and published several case studies.

Darlene Browning is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, she is licensed in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. She has been a Social Worker since 2001 has an undergraduate degree from John Jay College of Criminal Justice where she completed in 1992 with a B.S. in Science and majored in Criminal Justice. She then started working as a Correction Counselor with the NYC Department Corrections for few years, working with female inmates who had substance abuse problem and adolescence as well. She facilitated treatment recovery groups and psycho education . In 1998, she worked as with the Administration for Children Services while she was pursuing her Master's Degree degree from Hunter College School of Social Work where she graduated in 2001 with her MSW.

For 19 years she worked as a Discharge Planner in the hospital while attending Metropolitan Institute for Mental Health to study in the Adult Psychoanalytic Division, in 2012, Darlene decided to switch gears and began working as Behavorial Health  Care Manager , while starting her own private practice in the mist of the pandemic. Her practice is called " Live the Life you Want ", because she strongly believes that all individuals should live their own lives the way they want to and desire.

Dr. Beck completed medical school at The University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and completed psychiatry residency at The University of Oklahoma School of Community Medicine. She has a particular interest in perinatal/reproductive psychiatry and is pursuing additional training and certification in this subspecialty. Throughout her training, Dr. Beck has been involved in advocating for patients both at the state level as well as through her involvement with the American Medical Association.

Dr. Beck aims to use her medical expertise to advise you as you work together to create a strategy that will empower you to take charge of your mental health.

New patients should expect a thorough review of their history and symptoms as they are establishing care with Dr. Beck. One of the most important steps to helping you get better is to make sure the diagnosis is correct. From there Dr. Beck will work with patients to find appropriate medication strategies, as well as other evidence-backed interventions like therapy and lifestyle changes that fit your unique situation.

Elisabeth Davis is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with an MA, licensed in both Kentucky and Ohio. She is also a Board Certified-TeleMental Health Provider. Her professional journey has been eclectic and wide-ranging, allowing her to work with a diverse range of populations and issues. She specializes in areas such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma from physical and sexual abuse, family and relationship issues, parenting problems, and LGBTQIA+ support. Additionally, she has significant experience working with the military and providing education and career counseling.

One of her main goals is to make counseling / therapy "user friendly. "  Many people are apprehensive about starting therapy, and from the first session she tries to create an atmosphere where they feel safe and supported. Her treatment style is integrative and person-centered, utilizing evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, supportive therapy, goal-oriented therapy, and mindfulness-based techniques.

Dr. Dodd, a Board-Certified psychiatrist, graduated from the University of Georgia Honors Program with a B.S. in Chemistry, and earned her M.D. from the Medical College of Georgia. During her psychiatry residency in Greenville, SC, she was chief resident and gained extensive experience through moonlighting. She joined the faculty of Gateway’s Savannah residency program in 2021, where she served as Assistant Program Director, and continues to teach residents and students as an Assistant Professor at Mercer University and the Medical College of Georgia. In her community psychiatry practice, she specialized in Assertive Community Treatment, worked with First Episode Psychosis programs, a forensic Diversion-Reentry clinic, telehealth, and outpatient psychiatry, particularly serving graduate students, professionals, and their families in the Savannah area.

Dr. Dodd fosters a comfortable environment for patients at any stage of treatment. As a passionate educator, she enjoys providing psychoeducation and supportive therapy to help patients understand themselves, their relationships, and their motivations.

Therapist Kim Heath has decades of experience collaborating with patients providing mental health care and interventions to facilitate health and wellness. Kim has worked in all aspects of mental health ranging from crisis care to rehabilitation. Kim has a great depth of community service connections and resources to link individuals in the community and an opportunity to extend support networks for greater health. Kim received her bachelor’s from the University of Kansas and master’s from the University of Missouri and continues educational opportunities in counseling/therapy and theology. Kim is a Christian counselor and believes people have need of mind/body/spirit balance to address the emotional pain, psychological turmoil, and physical challenges in life. Kim meets individuals where they are and with the focus of accomplishing the wellness goals of the individual answers the need for therapeutic interventions. Kim Heath uses a variety of modalities dependent on the needs of the patient to include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and Christ Centered Christian Counseling Intervention.

Patients should be aware that Kim specializes in straight forwardness and application of the structure of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in sessions. Dr. Mohammed Islam is board certified in both General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He completed his undergraduate studies at Stony Brook University and attended medical school at the American University of Integrative Sciences. He completed his psychiatry residency training at Bergen New Bridge Medical Center followed by completion of a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at University Hospitals/Case Western Reserve University where he served as Chief Fellow. Prior to joining Talkiatry, he has trained/worked in a combination of various healthcare systems across New York, New Jersey, Ohio and Kentucky.

Dr. Islam treats patients of various ages- in addition to medication management he is a strong proponent of therapy in various forms. His approach to the treatment of adults and children/adolescents incorporates the impact of various things such as family history of mental health/medical conditions as well as any adverse childhood experiences/trauma. In addition to screening for common conditions such as bipolar disorder, anxiety and depression in all patients, he also emphasizes the importance of screening for conditions that can manifest in childhood (such as ADHD, Autism) as well as first-episode psychosis in young adults.

From the initial visit and onward, Dr. Islam prioritizes a collaborative effort with his patients (and at times their families). He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his Psychiatry Residency at Wayne State University College of Medicine. Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN), Dr. Smeed served as an outpatient psychiatrist at Veterans Affairs for 11 years, honing his expertise in mental health care. Driven by a deep interest in consciousness and innovative treatments, he combines talking therapies, neuromodulation, and modern psychopharmacology to help patients achieve lasting wellness.

Dr. Smeed is proficient in treating a wide range of psychiatric conditions while specializing in treatment-resistant depression, neurodevelopmental disorders, anxiety and trauma disorders. His treatment style is empathic and collaborative, emphasizing family dynamics and relationships while integrating psychodynamic principles with biopsychosocial models. Jan Hollis-Cole, LCSW, began her career as a social worker for hospice in 1999 and has extensive experience helping families cope with death and grief due to illness and/or trauma. Following her foundational work with hospice care, Jan expanded her clinical knowledge and expertise in a variety of settings to include substance abuse, challenges related to ADHD, anxiety, depression, LGBTQIA+ issues, and navigating the foster care/adoption system.

Jan believes that connection is the foundation of positive growth and dedicates her work to providing a safe place for clients to engage in self-expression and to explore the particular challenges they face on a daily basis.

Her approach is client centered, focusing on evidenced based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavorial Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). Jan works with clients of all ages and encourages inclusion and diversity within families to promote individual growth.

What has motivated Dr. Wheatley over the course of her career as a caregiver? Dr. Wheatley is a native Houstonian who grew up in a working-class community. Through curiosity and hard work, she was able to attend a university that included people of vastly different life experiences. She was molded by both communities to appreciate the commonalities of humanity. That broad exposure extended her empathetic spectrum to grasp the needs of the American diaspora.

Dr. Wheatley uses a biopsychosocial approach to evaluate the patient. She gathers patient history with a mindset that considers the neuroscience that chemically shapes mood, thoughts, and behavior. She is able to uncover factors that can inhibit psychological growth and development. She has experience in seeing how the social conditions of the “then” can influence the resiliency of the “now”. Dr. Wheatley appreciates, and is proficient in, advances in technology, but prioritizes the analog relationship between doctor and patient.

Meeting people where they are. It is an old trope, but describes how one allows a patient to set the path forward. An open-ended interview is conducted with an open mind towards resolution. When being evaluated and treated by Dr. Wheatley, a patient can expect to be met in a cordial but professional manner. Dr. Jessica Healey is a board-certified adult psychiatrist. She obtained her medical degree from Cooper Medical School of Rowan University and completed her residency training in psychiatry at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and Jackson Memorial Hospital. During her training, Dr. Healey gained extensive experience providing psychiatric care to various patient populations in multiple patient care settings, including in the outpatient clinic, inpatient unit, and emergency department. Following her training, Dr. Healey worked as an outpatient psychiatrist for the Veterans Health Administration. During her tenure with the VA, she worked closely with staff psychologists, social workers and nurses to provide multidisciplinary, collaborative care to the veteran population suffering from a variety of mental health conditions.

Dr. Healey has experience and interest in treating adults suffering from trauma-related disorders and anxiety disorders but provides treatment for a variety of psychiatric conditions including depression, bipolar disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Dr. Healey focuses on medication management and supportive psychotherapy, but has training in utilizing various therapy modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, and psychodynamic psychotherapy. When appropriate, Dr. Healey will refer for more extensive psychotherapy and/or collaborate with your established psychotherapist for comprehensive care.
