Biography
I earned my Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed my Psychiatry residency at St. Vincent’s Catholic Medical Center, and completed a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship at St. Luke’s Roosevelt. I am board certified in Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry by the ABPN. I have experience treating children, adolescents, and adults with depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD, and other psychiatric conditions. I also have an interest in perimenopause- and menopause-related mood, anxiety, sleep, and concentration changes.
I take a patient-centered approach and meet you where you are. My relaxed, conversational style helps you feel comfortable discussing what matters most. I want to understand what is bothering you, how it affects your life, and what you would like to change. I value continuity of care and believe treatment should realistically fit your life.
I begin with a detailed evaluation of your concerns, history, previous treatments, and how symptoms affect daily functioning. We discuss my impressions and treatment options, your preferences, and what you can realistically expect. At follow-ups, we consider what has improved, what remains difficult, and whether treatment is helping. Sometimes recovery involves more than medication changes, including reducing demands when symptoms or burnout affect functioning.
