I earned my Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Centre College of Kentucky in 1980, followed by a Master’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Texas Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences in Houston in 1986. I received my Medical Degree from the University of Texas Medical School–Houston in 1992 and completed a combined Internal Medicine/Psychiatry residency at Duke University Medical Center in 1997. I later served on the faculty of Duke’s Departments of Medicine and Psychiatry and have practiced both psychiatry and internal medicine in private practice. I have also served as Medical Director and Chief Medical Officer at several hospitals in North Carolina.

My background in both internal medicine and psychiatry allows me to consider the connection between physical and mental health when caring for patients. I strive to provide thoughtful, comprehensive care while taking each patient’s individual needs and circumstances into account.

I begin by developing a thorough understanding of each patient’s concerns, history, and overall health. From there, I work collaboratively with patients to identify appropriate treatment goals and develop a thoughtful, individualized approach to care.

Tony Pasik, MD, earned a medical degree from Mount Sinai and completed a preliminary year in General Surgery at Columbia University before pursuing Psychiatry residency at the University of Washington. During residency, they trained in the comprehensive DBT Training Program under the supervision of Marsha Linehan’s direct colleagues and successors, served as chief resident, led the antiracism committee, and provided education on LGBTQ+ mental healthcare. Dr. Pasik has experience in outpatient, inpatient, psychiatric emergency services, and coordinated care settings. They continue lifelong learning across clinical development, community building, and the arts to enrich their approach to care.

Dr. Pasik strives to center each patient’s vision and support their journey toward connecting with their authentic self. They value healing through exploration, creativity, and integration of mind, body, spirit, and community. They balance clinical expertise with the understanding that patients know themselves best, working together to foster healthy growth through both acceptance and meaningful change.

Dr. Mikiko Thelwell earned her BA from Barnard College, Columbia University, her MD from the Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science/David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, and her MPH from the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. She completed her psychiatry residency at the University of Pennsylvania in 2026. Since 2017, she has worked with UCLA's Commercial Sexual Exploitation Research Group and has received the APA's 2024 SAMHSA Minority Fellowship and the 2021 Point Foundation Scholarship. Her research has been widely published.

Dr. Thelwell believes patients are active partners in their care through shared decision-making and open communication. She listens closely to each person's story and provides compassionate, individualized care informed by an intersectional, evidence-based approach. She also emphasizes psychoeducation so patients understand their symptoms and treatment options and can make informed decisions.

Dr. Lauren Taylor earned her medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine and an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. She completed her psychiatry residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Health System/Miami VA Medical Center, where she participated in the Psychotherapy Track. Her training included inpatient, emergency, outpatient, child and adolescent, psycho-oncology, and psychotherapy settings.

Dr. Taylor brings a warm, supportive approach that helps patients feel comfortable and heard. She believes in collaborative care, encouraging patients to take an active role in treatment decisions. She also incorporates supportive psychotherapy into visits alongside medication management to provide well-rounded care.

Dr. Poonam Thandi is a psychiatrist with 16 years of experience in inpatient and outpatient settings. She completed her residency at Morehouse School of Medicine, serving as Chief Resident, and is double board certified in Psychiatry and Neurology and Obesity Medicine. She takes a holistic approach, combining medication management, supportive psychotherapy, and discussions on diet, movement, and sleep.

Elizabeth McKenzie Klein, MD completed her BA at Cornell University and earned her MD and MBA from the University of Virginia. She completed her residency in Psychiatry & Neurobehavioral Sciences at UVA and served as Administrative Chief Resident during her final year of training.

Dr. Klein believes transparency and open communication are the foundation of a productive therapeutic relationship. She creates a supportive environment where patients can set and achieve their treatment goals, using talk therapy, lifestyle changes, and medication management as part of individualized care.

Dr. Klein begins by gaining a thorough understanding of each patient's history, values, current concerns, and treatment goals during the initial visit. She develops an individualized treatment plan that aligns with each patient's goals and values.

Dr. Grant Zelin is a psychiatrist who completed residency training at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in New York. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from St. George's University School of Medicine and a Master of Public Health from the University at Albany. He has experience in outpatient clinics, emergency psychiatry, and telepsychiatry, treating adults with anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, trauma-related disorders, OCD, and other psychiatric conditions. He is committed to evidence-based psychiatry and staying current with advances in psychopharmacology and mental health research.

Dr. Zelin believes the best care begins with listening and understanding each patient's unique experiences and goals. He fosters a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where patients feel comfortable discussing sensitive concerns. Through shared decision-making, he ensures patients understand their diagnosis and treatment options while focusing on the whole person and building trusting, long-term therapeutic relationships.

Sydney Horton, DO, is a psychiatrist with experience practicing in child, adolescent, and adult outpatient and inpatient settings, including acute and long-term care. Dr. Horton earned a medical degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine and completed general psychiatry residency and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship training at UT Tyler Health Science Center in Tyler, TX. She has expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder in children and adolescents.

Dr. Allison Grolnick is a psychiatrist who has served as an Executive Consultant, Chief Medical Officer, Medical Director of Psychiatry Services, and staff psychiatrist in community outpatient settings and Federally Qualified Health Centers. She earned her medical degree from the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey/R.W. Johnson Medical School, completed her psychiatry residency at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine, where she served as chief resident, and completed a Public Psychiatry Fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center/New York State Psychiatric Institute. She also completed a Psychoanalytic Fellowship at The New York Psychoanalytic Institute and Society.

I earned my MD from Western Michigan University and completed my residency at the Medical College of Georgia. I have experience in diverse outpatient and inpatient psychiatry roles, including general outpatient psychiatry, hospital and emergency room consults, inpatient facilities, addiction psychiatry, and interventional psychiatry. In my free time, I enjoy exploring new restaurants with my wife, reading, weight lifting, playing video games with friends, and spending time with my cat, Gus.

I enjoy getting to know patients as people, not just as symptoms to treat. I listen to patients tell their stories and support them through life events. I encourage patients to take an active role in their mental health and treatment course.

I begin with a thorough history of present concerns, the patient’s life as a whole, and future goals. In follow-up sessions, I work with patients through both talk therapy and medications to reach their personal goals. I also coordinate care with other physicians and laboratories to get a full picture of the patient’s health.

I have experience practicing outpatient and inpatient psychiatry with children, adolescents and adults. I completed adult psychiatry residency at Henry Ford Hospital, as well as a child and adolescent fellowship at the University of Michigan.

Dr. Ryan Barnes earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine and completed an ACGME-accredited psychiatry residency at Inspira Health Network in New Jersey. He is board-eligible in psychiatry through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry. Dr. Barnes serves on the American Psychiatric Association's Committee on Innovation as liaison to the Council on Digital Health, AI, and Technology and has presented nationally on the role of AI in psychiatry.
