Biography
I am a board-certified psychiatrist with more than 25 years of experience and psychiatric training at Johns Hopkins Hospital. I provide compassionate, evidence-based, individualized care, considering each patient’s medical history, experiences, lifestyle, and needs. I evaluate and treat anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and stress-related conditions, helping patients find effective treatment and improve their mental health.
I strive to create a warm, welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where patients feel heard and respected. I value open communication and believe in a collaborative partnership that empowers patients to participate in their care. I understand that seeking psychiatric care can feel overwhelming and aim to make the process comfortable and approachable. I combine clinical expertise with compassion to support each patient throughout their mental health journey.
I begin with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation of symptoms, medical and mental health history, circumstances, and treatment goals. I consider biological, psychological, and social factors to develop an individualized treatment plan. Treatment may include medication management and additional therapeutic support. I explain options, benefits, and risks to support informed decisions. During follow-up visits, I monitor progress, address concerns, and adjust treatment as needed, building a trusting relationship that supports better mental health and quality of life.
