I am a native Marylander who recently completed my fellowship training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry from the University of Maryland. I completed my residency in general psychiatry in San Antonio, Texas and am a Board Certified Psychiatrist. Prior to training, I attended medical school at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in New York. I also hold a master's in biomedical science from Rutgers University in New Jersey and a bachelor's in public health from the University of Maryland. I serve on the Early Career Psychiatrist Committee for the Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists of Greater Washington Area.

I have worked in various settings, ranging from academic centers, schools, state hospitals, and residential treatment centers. I also provided medication management and therapy to Medicaid patients in an outpatient setting, delivering care to children and adolescents with various mental health disorders. I have experience in Emergency Psychiatry as well.

My treatment approach begins with establishing a good therapeutic rapport with my patients and listening to them so that they feel heard. I like to spend time providing psychoeducation on medications when discussing the treatment plan. My practice focuses on medication management primarily, but may incorporate supportive psychotherapy during medication visits. I may recommend additional psychotherapy if I feel a patient may benefit from this. My current practice does not include the use of any controlled substance medications, such as stimulants, benzodiazepines, and certain sleep aids.

I bring a strong background in research and have served as a biologist, nurse, and nurse practitioner at the National Institutes of Health.

I have worked in a variety of settings including the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center, the Palm Beach County Firefighter's Clinic, various outpatient telehealth platforms, and a child and adolescent inpatient facility. I was also an adjunct professor at Palm Beach State College.

I am passionate about providing quality and accessible mental health care while considering each patient's concerns, values, and life circumstances.
