Sarah Benito Figueroa, MD

Dr. Sarah Benito Figueroa is a board-certified Adult Psychiatrist and a board-certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. She earned her medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences Campus.  She completed her Adult Psychiatry residency at the University of Connecticut. Following this, she sub-specialized in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at New York University. Prior to joining Talkiatry, Dr. Benito Figueroa served as a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at a busy academic outpatient clinic and on an inpatient basis, providing care to children with complex medical needs.

Dr. Benito Figueroa strives to provide a patient-centered and collaborative approach when developing treatment plans. She specializes in medication management and supportive psychotherapy. When appropriate, she may make a referral for more specialized therapeutic interventions. For child and adolescent patients, Dr. Benito Figueroa encourages parental involvement at each visit to ensure a family centered approach is being followed to best support the child's needs.

During the first visit, Dr. Benito Figueroa will conduct a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation with a goal of understanding a patient's treatment history, current symptomatology and personal goals. She will work together with her patients to foster a collaborative environment, personalize treatment plans and support patients in achieving an improved quality of life.

Dr. Latori Griffin is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 10+ years' experience in helping clients with relationship issues, family conflicts, trauma and abuse, intimacy related issues, and personality distress. Her specialty areas include seeing clients from underserved backgrounds with challenging life circumstances, racial/cultural traumas, substance use/abuse, career and educational planning, and relational traumas. Her goals are to offer a holistic approach to therapy that is concerned with the whole person and is conducive to growth and healing. Considering the spiritual, emotional, physical, psychological, social, and societal aspects of a client's experiences are of the utmost importance in creating an environment of warmth and support. Dr. Griffin works with clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment, and she will tailor the treatment plan to meet the clients' unique and specific needs. Rayal Gorrepati, MD

Staff Psychiatrist

Dr. Rayal Gorrepati is double board certified in both adult and geriatric psychiatry. He has been practicing for over 12 years. Dr. Gorrepati's practice focuses on medication management. Typically, he offers this in conjunction with supportive psychotherapy in 30-minute follow-up visits. However, occasionally Dr. Gorrepati may believe that additional therapy is also needed and ask that you bring a therapist into your care team to provide the best possible outcome. He received his medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. His general psychiatry residency was completed at Cooper University Hospital in New Jersey. He then completed a Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship at the University of Hawaii. After completing training, he returned to his hometown of Chicago and began working at a Federally Qualified Health Center providing care to an underserved low-income population for nearly 12 years. While at the clinic, he treated a wide range of diagnoses, the most common ones being depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, etc. His primary clinical focus is treating adults with depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder.

LaTria Rogers, LCPC

Staff Therapist

LaTria Rogers is a proud graduate of Bowie State University. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Bowie State University in 2003, and in 2008, obtained her master’s degree in counseling psychology. She became a mental health therapist for the state of Maryland and later license in Washington DC.  LaTria worked for DC Department of Correction/Unity Healthcare as a Lead Therapist and currently work as a Lead Mental Health Therapist for Prince Geroges's County Public Schools. LaTria firmly believes that her views on behavioral and mental health will provided an  positive impact on the community.

The pandemic has produced many behaviors in adults as while as children/youth. Our youngest and most vulnerable have suffered the most. As a result, we have seen an uptake in areas like crime, lack of employment, public safety, education, social behaviors, politics, and overall well-being. LaTria feels as a community we need to listen and pay attention to what's happening.  LaTria can relate as a mother of a teen and toddler, she understands how the school and community need to provide as many services as they can to children and youth.

As a therapist LaTria prefers to meet people where they are in the treatment process. LaTria leads with cognitive behavioral therapy and person-centered approach. LaTria enjoys helping people become mentally healthy and live a holistic lifestyle.

Ashley Sharp, LPC/MHSP

Ashley Sharp is a Licensed Professional Counselor with Mental Health Service Provider designation, who has experience working in multiple settings within the mental health field including private practice counseling, school-based counseling, and in a behavioral health hospital. This has allowed Ashley to work closely with individuals of various demographics and a wide spectrum of mental health conditions. Ashley obtained her undergraduate degree in psychology from Bryan College in Dayton, TN, and her graduate degree in clinical mental health counseling from Richmont Graduate University in Chattanooga, TN. Ashley has been working in the mental health field for 4 years and focuses on mood and anxiety disorders, as well as personality disorders, challenges in relationship dynamics, and difficult life transitions such as grief and divorce. Ashley tailors her treatment modalities for the greatest benefit of the individual, being considerate of the background and needs of each client. Ashley uses an eclectic approach to therapy founded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and incorporates elements of Dialectical Behavior Therapy such as mindfulness, distress tolerance, and emotional regulation.

Leah E. Clary is a Licensed Professional counselor at Talkiatry. She has years of experience working with individuals of all ages from childhood to older adults. Leah E. Clary utilizes an eclectic counseling style. She understands that each and every person is unique and has individual needs, and is willing to adapt to what would benefit the individual. Leah believes that coordinating with all providers is important to achieving successful therapeutic experiences for the length of the engagement. After receiving her master's degree from Liberty University, Leah participated in an internship in Philadelphia working with first responders for crisis debriefing. While participating in this program, Leah also actively worked as an older adult protective services investigator within the city limits. In order to achieve her goal of becoming an LPC, Leah began working with families in a community-based program focusing on relational components. In this program, Leah worked with therapists of different backgrounds, building on her knowledge of communication techniques and team-based therapy, and even training new team members as needed. Throughout her professional career, Leah has worked with individuals with various diagnosed and undiagnosed conditions and adapted to their individual needs. Her passion is to assist the underserved demographic of individuals working through infertility issues and processing the idea of adoption.
