Biography
I believe that feeling heard, understood, and respected is the foundation of effective mental health care. I take a collaborative and supportive approach, helping patients set goals that feel realistic and meaningful. With a special interest in women's mental health, including perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, I strive to create a calm, nonjudgmental space and approach medication management thoughtfully, with close attention to patient preferences and well-being.
I begin with a comprehensive initial visit focused on understanding each patient's history, concerns, and goals. I work collaboratively to develop an individualized treatment plan and check in regularly about progress, side effects, and life changes. My approach emphasizes continuity, clear communication, and steady support over time.
I am a board-certified psychiatrist providing outpatient psychiatric care through telehealth. I earned my medical degree from the Florida State University College of Medicine and completed my psychiatry residency at UF Health Jacksonville, where I served as Chief Resident. I have experience working with adults facing mood disorders, anxiety, trauma-related concerns, ADHD, and perinatal mental health challenges.
