Biography
I bring warmth, empathy, and an open, nonjudgmental approach to every session. I value trust, clear communication, and cultural competency. I believe clients are not broken — they have the ability to empower themselves with the right tools and guidance. I collaborate with patients to set goals and support them in building skills to navigate life's challenges. Using a person-centered approach, I develop rapport and carefully explore each patient's history, concerns, and goals. I create individualized treatment plans and a supportive environment where patients feel heard, respected, and encouraged to grow at their own pace.
I have been a social worker in human services for over 25 years, including nearly 10 years as an outpatient therapist. I earned my Master's in Social Work from Aurora University of IL and am trained in evidence-based modalities including CBT, DBT, and mindfulness. I am trauma-informed and skilled in Theraplay, sand tray, EFT, Motivational Interviewing, and TF-CBT. I have also provided counseling to military families at Fort McCoy, WI.
