I obtained my WI Licensed Professional Counselor license in 1999 and IN LMHC in 2026. I work collaboratively to explore thought patterns, behaviors, and emotional responses, identify obstacles, and develop practical, strength-based solutions. Our first session is warm, comfortable, and productive.

I complete an initial assessment/interview and review case history, determine a diagnosis from the client’s report of symptoms, and identify what they specifically desire to change in therapy. We then develop an individualized treatment plan based on their goals and begin education about specific interventions.

I create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients can be fully themselves. My approach is collaborative and practical, helping individuals understand patterns while building tools for daily life. I work with clients facing relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and questions about faith or identity, and I am known for holding space for both emotional healing and deeper reflection on values and meaning.

I begin with an initial session to understand each client's story, challenges, and goals. Together, we develop a personalized plan using approaches like CBT and trauma-informed care. Sessions focus on insight, coping strategies, and healthier relationship patterns. When meaningful, I incorporate spirituality or faith exploration. Progress is reviewed regularly to ensure alignment with client goals.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over nine years of experience across telehealth, outpatient, school-based, and integrated care settings. I am licensed in Texas and Washington and am a National Certified Counselor. I hold a Master of Arts in Counseling and a Master of Divinity from Wake Forest University. Rutanya Simon, LCSW

I am a solution-focused therapist who provides insight from a non-biased and compassionate perspective, helping clients create practical solutions for life transitions and personal healing. I integrate Gottman techniques to strengthen communication between couples and apply family systems theory to help families identify and improve maladaptive patterns and behaviors. My approach encourages introspection and self-compassion, empowering clients to focus on what is within their control while fostering growth and resilience.

I earned my Master's in Social Work from the University of Oklahoma and have over eleven years of experience supporting children, families, and couples. I have worked with the courts, including mental health and substance abuse programs, and with families involved in child protective and adoption services. Throughout my career, I have worked with diverse populations.

In the initial session, I work to build rapport and trust while gaining a clear understanding of each client's needs. I collaborate with clients to identify small, achievable steps toward their goals and use these to guide the development of individualized treatment plans that promote meaningful progress and lasting change.

I offer a safe, supportive environment where individuals can process deeply personal experiences without fear of judgment. My warm, compassionate approach ensures each story feels valued and respected, fostering trust and connection from the very first session. I begin by gaining a thorough understanding of a patient's history, current concerns, and goals for therapy, then collaborate with patients to create a personalized treatment plan, integrating evidence-based modalities such as EMDR, CBT, IFS, psychoeducation, and mindfulness-based interventions to promote healing and growth.

I have experience providing trauma-informed, culturally responsive care to adults and couples in both outpatient and inpatient settings, with advanced training in trauma-focused therapies, including EMDR, as well as grief and relational conflict. I earned a Master of Education and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Psychology, and I hold licensure as an LMHC.

I value open communication and help clients set clear treatment goals. I foster a collaborative environment using narrative counseling, Internal Family Systems, and "parts work" to help clients re-story their experiences. I also offer EFT Tapping for trauma, anxiety, depression, and pain. I work from the belief that clients are the experts in their own lives and promote self-determination through Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction, and Energy Psychology. I begin by understanding what brings clients to therapy and building a strong therapeutic relationship. I tailor Narrative Counseling and EFT sessions to each individual, collaboratively creating personalized treatment plans with achievable, transformational goals. My approach is holistic, supportive, and designed to empower clients to recognize their strengths and motivation for meaningful change.

I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and Telehealth provider with extensive experience working in non-profits, schools, academic settings, and private practice. I have a particular passion and specialty in working with the LGBTQ population, and I also enjoy helping patients address depression and mood concerns, anxiety disorders, trauma, self-criticism and shame, grief and loss, major life transitions, social discontent, and medical conditions such as HIV/AIDS. I work with adults across the lifespan and strive to create an affirming and inclusive therapeutic environment. My work with each patient is individualized and guided by their needs and collaboratively defined goals. Patients can expect a warm, authentic, and direct therapeutic style. My approach is primarily skills-based, most often drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, within a client-centered and attachment-focused relationship. Therapy often explores how perspective, assumptions, and self-narratives contribute to distress, with practical action plans to support growth. I view therapy as a collaborative process aimed at meaningful change and a more fulfilling, values-driven life.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience across a wide range of mental health and social service settings, including academic outpatient clinics, community health centers, residential programs, clinical research, the VA, EAP services, and HIV/AIDS service organizations. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Saint Louis University and a Master of Social Work in Clinical Social Work/Mental Health from Washington University in St. Louis.
