Biography
I feel strongly about treating each client as a unique individual and meeting them wherever they are on their mental health journey. I am committed to creating a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives. While I provide a holistic, individualized treatment approach, I have a strong background in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and I am compassionate and direct, encouraging clients to challenge and reframe distorted thoughts while reinforcing positive adaptive behaviors. I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief and loss issues.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in California and New Mexico. I have been in the mental health field for over 24 years in a variety of clinical settings. Early in my career, I worked in an inpatient psychiatric hospital on the child and adolescent unit. Most recently, I have spent over a decade in the private practice setting working with adults. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and a Certified Grief Educator.
