Biography
I create a warm, non-judgmental space where clients feel safe and heard, and I view therapy as a collaborative partnership guided by each client's goals. My style is compassionate yet direct, balancing support with gentle challenge. I emphasize practical coping skills, open communication, and a strengths-based, trauma-informed, and culturally aware approach, helping clients build a more balanced and fulfilling life. I support clients with trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use, grief, chronic illness, and family conflict. I am trained in CBT, DBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
I begin by listening and understanding each client's story, strengths, and goals, then collaborate on personalized treatment plans using CBT, DBT, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Sessions include check-ins, skill-building, and reviewing progress. I help clients apply practical tools to manage emotions, navigate challenges, and build on successes, adjusting goals as needed to support meaningful growth.
I earned my Master of Social Work from Loma Linda University and completed licensure supervision in community mental health. I hold the LICSW and LCSW licenses and have experience in outpatient and in-home family settings, with a strong background in telehealth. As a former social work instructor, I am passionate about mentorship and growth.
