Biography
I take a patient-centered, holistic approach, meeting individuals where they are. I value transparency, honesty, and open communication, and prioritize compassion, empowerment, and advocacy. My goal is to create a space where individuals feel understood, comfortable, and supported throughout their care. I begin by listening to each person's story with curiosity and without judgment. As trust develops, I collaborate on a personalized, realistic plan. I work alongside individuals to build self-awareness, strengthen emotional regulation, and develop skills, with the goal of helping them create a more purposeful and authentic life.
I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from the University of Pittsburgh and my graduate degree in Counseling Psychology from Chatham University. My early training focused on children and adolescents with behavioral disorders, often involving families in care. I have experience in individual, group, and family counseling, and spent eight years supporting individuals with anxiety, depression, grief, stress, advanced illness, and end-of-life care using an eclectic, strength-based, and mindfulness-informed approach.
