Biography
Alumita Young is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensed in Utah and California with over 9 years of experience as a medical social worker and behavioral health clinician. She is certified in Brainspotting and trained in Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Alumita has supported adults navigating PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, chronic medical conditions, relationship concerns, and emotional challenges. Born and raised in Fiji, she brings a multicultural perspective and appreciation for diverse backgrounds.
Alumita creates a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where patients feel heard, respected, and supported. She believes healing occurs through connection, compassion, and collaboration. Her approach combines evidence-based strategies with a genuine, down-to-earth style while helping patients build resilience, gain insight, and develop lasting skills tailored to their unique needs and goals.

She collaborates with patients to develop an individualized treatment plan that reflects their needs and preferences. Using approaches such as Psychodynamic Therapy, CBT, DBR, and Brainspotting when appropriate, she supports patients in processing experiences, developing coping skills, and making meaningful progress over time.
