Biography

I offer a warm, approachable, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen and supported. I believe in a collaborative approach to therapy, working alongside clients to identify the root of their struggles and develop a personalized plan for growth and healing. My personable nature and tailored care help clients feel comfortable and empowered throughout the process. I support clients facing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, bipolar disorder, life transitions, anger management, and relationship challenges.

In the first session, I review teletherapy expectations and confidentiality, and conduct a psychosocial assessment to better understand your background and goals. Together, we'll explore current challenges, create a vision for your future, and build a practical plan. Using CBT and ACT, I help you develop tools and insights to apply between sessions for continued progress.

I am a proud HBCU graduate of Prairie View A&M University with a Master's in Counseling and over eight years of experience in the mental health field. I have provided care in inpatient psychiatric hospitals, partial and intensive outpatient programs, community mental health, and private telehealth practice.

I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable being themselves. I value building strong therapeutic relationships rooted in trust, collaboration, and respect. My approach is compassionate yet structured, helping clients recognize their strengths while learning practical coping skills to manage stress, anxiety, trauma, and life transitions. I provide supportive counseling for children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and life transitions.

I begin by learning about each client's background, current concerns, and goals for therapy. I may use brief assessments or screening tools to better understand what a client is experiencing. Together, we develop a treatment plan focused on personal strengths and desired changes. I use evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, solution-focused therapy, and strengths-based techniques, regularly checking in on progress and adjusting the plan as needs evolve.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Louisiana and Texas. I earned my Master of Social Work from Louisiana State University and a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. I view therapy as a meaningful act of self-investment — an opportunity to approach oneself with curiosity, courage, and compassion. I strive to create a warm, validating, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed space where clients feel seen and supported. My approach is collaborative, relational, and evidence-based, integrating Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic, and cognitive-behavioral techniques. I help clients cultivate emotional flexibility, resilience, and self-awareness while clarifying their values and taking meaningful action in alignment with what matters most to them.

Before graduating from the NYU Silver School of Social Work, I worked in international human rights and educational settings. I have over 15 years of experience as a clinical social worker and previously worked with formerly homeless adults in supportive housing as a social worker, supervisor, and assistant program director.
