Biography
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than 15 years of experience in education, school counseling, behavioral support, and mental health services. I support adults, adolescents, couples, and families in outpatient and telehealth settings. I earned a B.S. in Psychology from Central State University and an M.A. in Professional Counseling from Texas Wesleyan University. I use CBT and Solution-Focused Therapy to address anxiety, depression, grief, relationships, life transitions, burnout, self-esteem, stress, and emotional regulation.
I provide a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can be authentic and feel heard. I believe therapy should be collaborative, practical, and focused on meaningful change. I value open communication and balance compassion with encouragement and accountability while helping you recognize your strengths, build confidence, establish healthy boundaries, and live more in line with your goals.
I begin by learning about your history, concerns, strengths, challenges, and goals. Together, we identify priorities and create an individualized plan. I use CBT, Solution-Focused, and trauma-informed strategies to build healthier coping skills and recognize unhelpful patterns. We regularly review progress and adjust treatment as needed, with practical activities between sessions when helpful.
