Biography
Dawn Nessler, PhD, LISW-CP, LCSW, holds an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, a Certificate of Mastery in Child Development, a Bachelor's degree in Social Psychology, a Master of Social Work, and a PhD in Organizational Leadership. She has experience in retail, customer service, education, hospitals, nursing homes, hospice, in-home services, and individual, family, and couples counseling.
Dawn provides a gentle, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where patients feel heard and respected. She believes each person is the expert on their own story and tailors treatment to individual needs. Guided by strong ethical values, she integrates empathy, compassion, CBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, role playing, and active listening to support adults experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, fear, frustration, and other life challenges.
Dawn understands that beginning therapy can feel intimidating. The first session focuses on building rapport, learning about each patient's experiences, and identifying their goals. Together, they develop a personalized treatment plan designed to address current concerns and support meaningful, lasting progress.
