Biography
Chad Stiles is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist serving adults and couples in Virginia, Colorado, and South Carolina. He earned a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northcentral University, followed by a PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy with a specialization in Child and Adolescent Therapy from National University. Before entering clinical practice, he spent more than 13 years supporting survivors of sexual trauma, domestic violence, and military sexual trauma. He is a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.
Chad takes a collaborative, practical, and solution-focused approach. He believes patients are the experts on their own lives and encourages them to play an active role in setting goals. He provides a respectful, nonjudgmental, trauma-informed environment, helping patients recognize their strengths, understand unhelpful patterns, and make meaningful changes at a pace that feels right for them.
Chad begins by learning about each patient's concerns, history, relationships, strengths, and goals. Together, they create an individualized treatment plan based on the patient's priorities and preferred pace. He regularly reviews progress, adjusts treatment as needed, and helps patients develop practical strategies between sessions. With couples, he focuses on relationship patterns rather than assigning blame.
