Biography
Elizabeth Meachum, LCSW, earned her Master of Social Work from Florida State University in 2014. Throughout her career, she has provided care in a variety of settings, including inpatient treatment centers, group homes, schools, college counseling centers, private practice, and telehealth, giving her experience supporting individuals with diverse needs and backgrounds.
Elizabeth creates a calm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where patients feel heard and respected. She views therapy as a collaborative process and encourages open communication, feedback, and active participation. Drawing from solution-focused therapy, strength-based approaches, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and family systems perspectives, she tailors treatment to each patient's unique needs, goals, and strengths.
Elizabeth works collaboratively with patients to identify meaningful goals and develop a path forward that reflects their priorities. As therapy progresses, goals may evolve, and she remains flexible in adapting treatment to support growth and change. During the first session, she focuses on building trust, exploring what brought the patient to therapy, reviewing relevant background information, and answering questions. She is committed to providing support at a pace that feels authentic, empowering, and aligned with each patient's journey.
