Biography
I have worked in substance use counseling, youth services, trauma care, behavioral health navigation, clinical supervision, and private practice. I have supported probationers, at-risk youth, military members, first responders, and adults with varied mental health concerns. I earned my master’s in educational counseling from the University of Phoenix, with an emphasis in individual, family, and group counseling, and completed graduate-level training in alcohol and substance use counseling and licensure coursework. My training includes first responder cultural awareness, Trauma Management Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, CAMS, and DBT.
I use a goal-driven, solution-focused approach and collaborate with you to create treatment that fits your needs. I believe you are the expert in your own life. Sessions are structured and may include practice work between visits to support measurable growth.
I begin with a full risk and biopsychosocial assessment, then work with you to set short- and long-term goals. We discuss evidence-based approaches that best support those goals. Sessions are typically weekly at first, then spaced out as symptoms improve. I review treatment plans regularly and adjust care to support progress and quality of life.
