Biography
Kellyanne Richmond, MA, LPC, LCMHC, TLHT-LMHC, LCADC, has more than 15 years of experience providing mental health and addiction treatment in detoxification, residential, outpatient, intensive in-community, and substance use evaluation settings, including clinical leadership and supervision. She earned a BA in Psychology and Sociology from Rider University and an MA in Counseling Psychology from Immaculata University. She is licensed in NJ, CO, VT, and FL and specializes in trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, life transitions, and co-occurring disorders.
Kellyanne provides a warm, nonjudgmental, conversational approach while offering honest, direct feedback. She believes patients are the experts on their own lives and fosters a collaborative relationship built on trust and open communication. Her approach integrates CBT, motivational interviewing, solution-focused, person-centered, and trauma-informed therapies to support meaningful, lasting change.
Kellyanne uses the first session to understand each patient's history, concerns, strengths, goals, and past treatment experiences. She listens carefully, validates experiences, and asks thoughtful questions to guide assessment. Together, they develop an individualized treatment plan with realistic goals, combining supportive exploration with practical coping strategies patients can use in daily life.
