Biography
I'm a therapist, and most of what I see is trauma, anxiety, and depression, along with the things that tend to travel alongside them: patterns of codependency, low self-esteem, and the effort it takes to steady yourself through a big life transition. I've worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings since 2013, treating substance use and mental health concerns, and I'm a Master's Level Certified Addiction Professional in Florida as well as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy.
What matters most to me is your individuality. I take a genuinely individualistic approach, because I value and want to protect your autonomy rather than fit you into a formula. I work through the lens of Family Systems and Attachment Theory, and I draw on Existential, Strength-Based, Dialectical Behavior, and Client-Centered ideas, plus 12 Step principles when they're useful. In practice that means our sessions blend real conversation with psychoeducation and concrete coping skills you can actually use. You can expect unconditional positive regard from me, and honesty; I'm here to help you build a life of your own choosing, not the one someone else picked for you.
I think self-care and emotion regulation are skills worth practicing, not just talking about, so we'll move at a pace that respects where you are.
If you're tired of feeling defined by what happened to you and want to start deciding what comes next, let's talk about how to get there together.
