Biography
I'm a therapist who focuses on adults and older adults working through anxiety, depression, trauma, mood instability, anger, low self-esteem, and the emotional weight of relationship struggles and life transitions. Over roughly twenty years, I've worked in just about every setting you can name: telehealth, outpatient care, residential programs for youth and adults, Assertive Community Treatment, foster care, inpatient units, intensive in-home services, and private practice. That range taught me that no two people arrive with the same story, so I don't hand out the same plan twice.
My approach is solution-focused and goal-oriented, and it leans hard on your strengths rather than your deficits. I want you to leave a session with a clearer sense of purpose and a bit more room to breathe. Early on, we'll spend time sorting out what's actually getting in your way and what you'd like to be different, and I'll be honest with you about what I'm noticing. Depending on what fits, I draw on trauma-informed care, CBT and trauma-focused CBT, motivational interviewing, collaborative problem solving, and family systems work. If you're coming as a couple or family, we'll look at the patterns between you, not just inside you.
Deciding to talk to someone takes real effort, and getting this far already says something about what you're ready for. When you feel ready to take the next step, I'll be here to help you figure out where to begin.
