Biography
Veronica Metzger, LCSW, has more than 15 years of experience providing mental health services across outpatient, in-home, and telehealth settings. She has worked with children, adolescents, adults, older adults, and families in Florida, Washington, DC, and Virginia. Veronica earned both her Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work from the University of South Florida and became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida in 2014.
Veronica believes meaningful therapy begins with trust, open communication, and a strong therapeutic relationship. Her person-centered, eclectic approach integrates psychodynamic principles with evidence-based interventions tailored to each individual's needs. She provides a compassionate, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, empowered, and supported while working collaboratively toward lasting change.
Veronica begins by learning about each client's concerns, history, strengths, and goals to develop a personalized approach to care. Together, they create realistic treatment goals and build practical coping skills, increase self-awareness, and process life experiences. Treatment is collaborative, flexible, and adjusted as each client's needs and goals evolve.
