Biography
I'm a therapist who has spent years treating substance use, trauma from domestic violence, and the co-occurring conditions that tend to travel alongside them. A lot of that work has happened in the harder rooms: inpatient units, crisis intervention, intensive outpatient programs. As an IOP coordinator, I ran the tracks that kept people connected to both group and individual therapy, and earlier, working with parents involved in the child welfare system, I learned how to hold treatment and court realities in the same hand.
My style is person-centered and honestly a bit eclectic. I pull from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and mindfulness-based work, but I don't force any of it onto someone it doesn't fit. I'd rather tailor what we do to what's actually in front of you. Early on, expect me to spend real time understanding your situation before we settle on a direction; I move at a pace that lets us build something you can sustain, not just survive. My aim is to help you find your footing again, whether that's staying in recovery, steadying after a crisis, or rebuilding a sense that you can handle your own life.
If you've been through the wringer with substance use or a relationship that hurt you, and you're ready to do the work with someone who's sat in those rooms before, reach out and let's talk about where to start.
